Woodsball is way better than speedball.  That's the only thing you need to know.  Woodsball is the best paintball out there.

I disagree

Airball has way more decision making to be made on the fly.

I find it fun to be having a case of paint being shot at me at any one moment in time

Yes, join a team. It adds a whole different dimension when you have a squad that has played with each other for long periods of time and moves like a well oiled machine.

^^^Very true.

Also, in speed if you do something dumb running into a bunker, like trip and do a supermn you can claim it was on purpose.

That only doesn't work if yo try to jumo over and elminate someone... and get your foot caught on the bunker.

HER?!

Sure, you "accidently" fell

back couple years ago I bunkered/over shot this one girl in a bunker (didn't know it was a her!) and right after that a ref came and brought me outside to talk

I thouhgt I was in trouble and I said sorry and he's like "Good to know, but thats not what this is about, How would you like a job as a referee?"

I was so elated

We don't really have official teams either, its just the group of people we play with all the time. Eventually after playing together for 2 years we know each others skills and what they will do on the field before they do it. We know who to call when we need to flank them, we know who to call for suppresive fire.

You can either just join a team or get some friends together and play every weekend.  It would be cool to join a team though.  That's what I meant.

Teams are great, and really add to the game. Plus, if you're on a fixed team, you really get to know the strategies of the people around you, and in woodsball that's really important.

^^^Actually, it is very important in speedball and scenario ball.

For instance, In speed if you do not know where someone is going then you might accidentally shoot them in the ass. And scenario if you can no see why you do not need to know.

Being on a team is alot better than not. Especially if you know the people on the team well.

Yes! Just make sure the team doesnt have a "Leader" I think rec ball teams should be just that, a team. No One person should make decisions for the team. The team should make decisions for the team, ie votes.

Your squad needs a commander to function properly, but you can switch the commander each game if you dont like the idea of one person in charge.

It is imperative that a team has a leader. Without a leader your team is just a group running amuck.

teams are good.  it's almost impossible to get the whole team cooperating in woods, but if you can do it, oh, man.  A team/squad is very effective in any paintballing.  On my team, when we do woods, each one of us has different traits, much like in speedball, only more armyish.  We have one gunner, who constantly keeps suppressive fire, we have a "sniper" who just creeps around and eliminates, we have a suicide person to act as a decoy when times are bad, We have a commander(ME! WOOT!), and the rest are just extra help.  we usually pair off in groups of two.  usually, i send the "sniper" to do some foward playing while me and another player cover him.  i have begun to not know what i am talking about so goodnight.  5:00a.m.! ALL-NIGHT!

teams are great, but we have 2 leaders so that its not up to 1 person for the decisions we have 2 its a great thing, and we do kinda the same thing but im the "Sniper" and i dont get any cover (WTF is that??!!) i should get cover but i dont need it, im just that damn good lol so yea teams are great things cause i know all the people on my teams pros and cons like their accuracy, hit probability, stealth, and conservation of ammunition it rocks cause we usually ride on dougs 3-wheeler a.k.a "big red" while he drives and i ride in the back with jason and i hold our entry shied guarding us a.k.a "L'il Mitsey"

covering a sniper is hard work.  People have to know exactly where they're(the sniper) at and not give away their(the sniper's) position, and sometimes that means going along with them into the brush.  most snipers don't need much cover, but the is the 2nd best on my team (i'm the best), and he kicks ass!  So it really sucks when he get's elliminated, but hey, woodsball's all about having fun.

convince them that it is not an actual firearm, and that u wont shoot up your little sister or something. Having a friend who owns a paintball gun parents talking to your parents also works very well.

If that doesn't work try to work out a deal wear they can keep in a box or hide your co2 tank and paintballs and u hold on to the gun or something so u wont be able to shoot anytime u want to only when ur alowed to go paintballing.

And yes join a team, My team listens to me, but they still have their own independence. A lot of our success is from our members ability to follow orders and personal skill. Combined with our tactics we are a freakin awsome team. Its the difference between a bunch of people who run around in the woods by themselves and look for enemy and a combined efficent fighting force. Teams require a lot of practice, but tend to stomp your average group of woodsballers. Its a whole new level of paintball.
