I was at a car show, like 5 years ago, and a guy had a 40's willy that had that color, and he said it cost him like $5000 per gallon, and they used like 2 gallons on it. Edit: thats where I got the $250 at... but things could have changed. -------------

That ano is really not that great, especially considering the fact that you could get a gun for the price of it. Also, I'd like to point out how easily that stuff cracks and chips. It comes off a lot easier than normal ano. Kid on PbN got his gun custom done by FBM with that stuff, and he had to replace it after a year. Considering normal ano goes for 5+ years, that's pretty nasty.
That said, a gun that rare is pretty cool no matter what. *EDIT* By the way, that guy is really cool. It seems he's updated his site in the past couple of months, as there's a ton of new stuff. He makes me wish I had $10,000 to chuck out on really cool guns. Thankfully I don't, because that would be really stupid. |

It's not paint. Its a nickel-type plating with lots of electricity passed through it to give it the sort of oil-on-water effect. kthxbye -------------

thats also why they dont make them any more, they were nickle plated and then had 20,000-40,000 volts passed through them. it had something in the range of a 90% fail rate. -------------

Nice try, but it's not paint. They take the raw body, and just shock it with 20,000volts of electricity. It somehow makes that plating. It was very hard to get the body perfect like that, and only 10 exist in the world today. it is soo hard to get that color to be perfect. You have to electrify
it and then put the anno on. And if you do it wrong it could be deadly.
I heard that Out of 25 cockers, planet eclipse got 1 to be perfect. geez... -------------
