Well, today on this perfect last day of school, me and my friends decided to visit some pool parties, since there was about 5 going on. Once I went home I changed right into my swim-suit, which is where I decided I would put my wallet, keys, and my cell phone. The first couple places we stopped at were fine, I remembered to take everything out of my pockets. Then, at the third house we played a little basketball before we got in the pool, after playing this game of basketball I was sweating like a hog. So, without thinking, I jumped right into the pool. I repeated this process a couple times before I realized....yup, everything was still in my pockets. My wallet and keys still work (yay) my cell phone however, is done for (boo).
Or maybe not, I opened it up to let it dry out, so has anyone else ever saturated their phone in water and have it dry out and be in working order again?

Anyways, moral of the story, check your pockets before you swim. Or even go to a pool party for that matter, high probability you might get thrown in!

Use a hairdryer. My friend has done that several times and a hairdryer worked every time. Not guaranteed though. Might have just been luck.

my brother did almost the same thing but he put his right in front of the intake on our dehumidafier and put it on high.  His cell phone worked until he threw it at the wall for bringing him news that his girlfriend wanted to break up...

dry it out real good then try turning it on

Yeah, I think it might have been bad to try to turn it on right away, but right now I can see some moisture on the face through the glass and it's starting to evaporate, so once it does that I'll try again.

I Jager-bombed mine.  That was over 5 months ago and it still works fine to this day.  The bottom buttons are a little sticky though...

Well, I got it working. Turns out the battery was fried. I just took the battery from my step dads(family plan) since he has a different cell phone to use anyways, and a new one is only $25, which I will give him.

Your lucky Dom, I had my cellphone on me once and then my aunt pushed me in the pool. The thing would turn back on (on another battery) but the screen was finished. The screen was first just so blurry you couldn't see anything, and then it turned into just a blue screen.
