I was looking up regulator and I found the evil detonator that might work with my crossfire hp 68/4500. I was on pbreview reading their reviews and I don't understand what this means...4000 shot break in period...&...I have to agree the break in period, but WELL worth the wait... what does those phases means. thx...

I belive the break-in-period is where after that shot count the tank is used to being filled and shot and you will get the most shots out of it. I could be wrong..

break in period means that the marker needs fired ( preferably with paint)a certain amount of times to get the regulator "broken in" so it will shoot a more conmsistant FPS.

so 2 cases of paint should break the reg in so you get closer to a consitant 280 FPS over the chrono, which means when you are playing each shot will be grouped tighter together as all the balls should be coming out of the barrel at around the same speed.

major fluctuations in a reg means less accuracy and possibly shooting hot ( over 300FPS) which means you would have to turn down your reg at a field to be safe. this also will affect your range if you have to make sure it is set to 250-260 FPS to make sure it doesn't shoot over 300FPS.

a good broken in reg on HPA should only have about +/-5 FPS fluctuation or less over the chrono. Other factors can affect that though, like crappy paintballs or a crappy HPA tank.
