i have a response trigger on my gun and i need a higher feed rate. should a wait a month and get the cyclone feed for the 98c or just get a regular electric hopper now. if i get the regular hopper what one would be the best? im not a tourny player, i just play woodsball with my friends

Will the Cyclone for the C-98 be the same as on the A-5 use gas to spin it? If you read posts on the Cyclone you will see there are problems with it. I would wait a few months after it is released before i would buy it. When the A-5's came outthe had a recall on the Cyclone.

Well the cyclone was recalled because something was wearing down on them. I don't think Tippmann will make the same mistake twice.

It wasn't recalled, there was an update. That has long been fixed. Since you're not going tourney, just buy a regular electro-hopper for your R/T. You can tune it upwards of 20 bps, beyond the Cyclone's current rate of 18 bps (17.4-ish), so a fast electro would make your gun look incredibly cool (and scare n00bs). If you were going tourney and had to ditch the R/T for an e-trigger, I'd say the Cyclone. Yes, it uses blowback just like the A-5. It basically fits into the same opening as your R/T does (think A-5 + R/T). You may have to order a special fitting from Tippmann if you have the R/T, just like you have to for the LPK R/T.

The 98 Cyclone is basically the same as the A-5's, but the metal spike is molded into the housing or attached by a screw (can't tell from pics) and has the fittings similar to the 98C elbow (the pins and the upper latch). Don't know how the elbow wobble may or may not affect it.

Wobble can be fixed with 4-5 pieces of electral tape in the elbow.
