Yeah, yeah, it's prolly an oldie post, but no since in bringing back the dead. I just wanted to give reference to You Won't See Me's responses (at least this is what Smitty came up with).

http://www.thepaintballstore.com/product1117.html - "98C Sear Tripper"

I would like to call shens on this one. Well, it costs around the same price as an e-bolt. Look closer- "Hey, is that an e-bolt tripping the sear?" Why yes kids, it is. That is not a sear tripper. It's an e-bolt mangled into a sear-tripper~ish like thing.

A sear tripper (refer to Tippmann's very own image of the E-grip) uses a simple rod and solenoid to trip the sear, and is much much cheaper.

YWSM, unless Smitty pulled the wrong image, this isn't anything to be excited about. The Cyclone coming out is true, but I'm iffy on this one. Why would Tippmann, now "owned" by Summit (bet some of you forgot/ didn't know), put out a product allowing the 98C's to be almost exactly the same as their new Custom Pro. Kinda like marketing suicide, and I'm pretty sure Tippmann's smarter than that.

I just searched it at http://www.google.com - www.google.com .  I'm not sure if this is "the one" but it surely is one of them.  It may just be someone trying to make their own and sell it.

My point exactly. YWSM will have to verify if this is what he's talking about. I don't even see how a sear tripper would fit- the solenoid will have to be incredibly small with a plastic housing to make it fit, and the capacitor will have to be smaller. Plus, the only way you could adjust an E-grip on the 98C as in firing modes and whatnot would be to seperate the receiver halves. And the switch would have to be a long button sticking out like the R/T piston.

It was a thread about a guy that emailed tippmann asking if he could put the custom pro e-grip in his 98C and tippmann emailed him back saying that there will be an E-grip for the 98C coming out soon.

Good luck YWSM.  I tried and couldn't find anything.  I searched here, but didn't find anything but people talking about it.  I searched google and found just stuff like that.

I saw that.  It's still very expensive.  Here's the Custom Pro's new board I took from YWSM's link.

I wonder if the E-Grip for the 98c will look anything like that.  That's my guess.

I see now. The solenoid on the older model was built into the sear tripping mechanism, and thats what the extra room is on the lower portion of the grip frame.

The 98C e-grip can't look as good as the CP because there are no openings for the two mode and ROF adjustments. My guess is it'll take place of the ASA like the E-bolt.

What ever the case, it looks like it'll be second to the A-5 & CP e-grip. The WAS board will probably not fit it. My guess is "revamp" reads more like cheapened.

Well, there you have it. I do apologize for doubting you, YWSM.
