I want an a-5, for mainly woodsball, and a little speedball, is this a good
choice
plus, wat hopper, and goggles should I get?
if i modified an a-5 with :

Progressive 20" Sniper barrel
A-5 Collapsible Stock
CORE DeadBox Reflex Sight w/Red Dot

would it be okay, or would it just suck?

well a5 shoudl do good with that, ummm hopper the a5 comes with mask, anythign will do but if you have money a profiler, and the setup sucks, you can't play speedball with that and snipers don't exist in paintball, but i don't wnat to argue about that, but ya this shoudl be a good setup

lapco bigshot or flatline

Response Trigger

x-core expansion chamber

thats a good all around setup

your link didn't work so just tell me wat does th x-core expansion
chamber do?

I wouldnt reccomend a flatline, because you want to speedball, and the extra distance isnt neccasary(sp), but its ok because if you use it right, you can make paintballs curve around bunkers. thats always helpul, especially if u dont want to risk running up and bunkering someone

ok, this is what a x-core does

This expansion chamber is setting new standards. It has a large liquid cell at the bottom and then 8 micro cells on the top. We ask you to compare it to any other chamber on the market. This grip is the first grip that was designed with both CO2 and N2 users in mind. The X-Core will give more than enough expansion cell area to break up liquid CO2 while still keeping a straight through, low resistance air flow for Nitrogen. An additional feature that I love is that the port hole is on the bottom. Most x-chambers have it on the side and you have to get the hole lined up. With the hole in the bottom, you just get a 90 degree connect elbow (same as with a gas-thru foregrip). The best thing about the x-core is its price. It will do a better job than any other chamber on the market but the price is much lower.
Requires one tank o-ring, not included.

Our Price : $25.00
5 or More: $24.50 each.

Its not hard. flatlines work because they shoot the ball out so it kinda curves upwards. thats how it goes farther, cause gravity cancels it out. so all you have to do is shoot the a5 sideways, and the flatline will curve it "up" technically side ways, and around the bunker. out gos the bad guy

Lapco Bigshot(no more than 14" barrel) I'd say 12" would be good

X-Chamber(X-Core)

R/T if you field allows it.  If not get the E-Grip

Double Trigger

That's a good list.  Start there, but play with the gun stock for a while.

I would go for the flatline and a response trigger. I have this and it is a good combination. For the mask, get anything that thermal. Also get a good, electric hopper. An eggy or halo b are both pretty good.

That's good advice, though a new barrel should be a priority. I reccomend a LAPCO Bigshot or a Flatline.

Add an HPA tank and that's all the upgrades you really need for woodsball.

If you decide to stick with CO2 and opt for an expansion chamber, I reccomend spending the extra money to get a Palmer Stabilizer, in this case there's no substitute for quality.

On an A-5?!? I think not.

Yes you can't get any other hoppers on the A-5 besides the R-5 and the stock hopper.

Wat about an a-5 with flatline and e-grip, to start out

Posted By: slettec
Date Posted: 16 June 2005 at 10:29am

an a-5 with flatline and e-grip is pretty good. i wouldn't get that flatline though, because if you really don't have the perfect paint for it it's going to be costing you a lot cause u'll be buying a lot of paint from having to shoot so much to hit one target. if you positively can get the perfect paint every time you go, then the flatline's an ok decision. i would always find my stores sold out, or go to fields that only let you use their paint, so my flatline just sucked for me.

i would get an ultralite if ur lookin to spend 100 bucks on a barrel. you can get different backs, etc. and it's the most accurate barrel out there while being very light. very. i wouldn't go longer than a 14, MAYBE 16 inch though. i have a 10"
