it would work. may have to replace the bails of hay everyonce in a while if the bails take  abeating in a game or from the weather. Definatly has potential

yea just like use old haybails that aren't going to be used by the farmer.

u could always use the cows for cover!

My friends and I are allowed onto this field and the person who owned it had previously made bails of hay. They work great and the paintballs don't make a splatter on the hay because they just sink into the hay. It was fun using them but we only used them once because we are hard core woodsballers.

they rot and get really smelly after awhile, yes it will work for a lil bit, and be really cool, but youll have to replace em in a couple months

I played in a old hay field before, hay/ weeds were tall so whenever we got shot at me had to make us a fort out of the hay, it worked pretty good

I'm proud to say that my first speedball game was played using haybails in an open field.  It was fun.  I pulled a..  (crap, what was the guys name who went snuck around the outer boudary of the course to take cheapshots but got caught?) anyway, I did that, but a stupid teammate started yelling to me and gave me away.

Use straw bales, they will not rot much even if left out in the rain

A hollowed out roundbale would make a cool bunker, like those roundbale goose blinds

Pound those thin Rebar? electric fence posts into the bales to keep players from tipping them
