How does it not have organized practices? You don't think paintball teams practice?
Organized games would be anyday some team plays on a field against another field. Or just a group of people playing.

With Fathers Day tomorrow this is actually a pretty good idea. A lot of
fields run specials for dad/son together and it's a good way to "spend
some quality time" with each other. If you can get dad hooked he is
more likly to support your habit (just ask my son...)

Why not? It can be a family thing. Some people here said their moms have guns. Still it's a sport, because they do practice, and others come to watch the game. It's an organized sport where it's just not televised a lot.

Paintball is absolutely a sport.
sport https://secure.reference.com/premium/login.html?rd=2&u=http%3A%2F%2Fdictionary.reference.com%2Fsearch%3Fq%3Dsport"> ( P ) Pronunciation Key (spôrt, sp rt) n.
-
- Physical activity that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often engaged in competitively.
- A particular form of this activity.
- An activity involving physical exertion and skill that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often undertaken competitively.
- An active pastime; recreation.
This is the dictionary definition of 'sport' and paintball fits within the peramiters of all of the listed definitive answers.
There's nothing listed there about 'being televised'
~Recreational games, though not officially recognized are no different than a pick up game of basketball that you and your friends might play in the park on a weekend. There are officiated games, national and international tournaments, a very well defined set of rules and regulations, which may vary in detail from field to field, but are generally the same to protect the safety of its participants and preserve the integrity of the game itself.
By definition Paintball IS a sport. Some people may say otherwise for a variety of flimsy reasons, but they're wrong.
Hope that helps.

about the paintball on T.V. There was this petition floating around on the web and if like 50,000 people signed it, paintball would be on ESPN.

Paintball is not a sport.
If your going to use a dictionary definition, then technically snipers exist in paintball.

1. Online petitions mean nothing. Companies toss them in the garbage because there is no proof people didnt just sign in a bazillion and a half times.
2. The statistics on both sights dont match up, also, they have been proven false. Paintball injuries are far more likley than what they claim.

fine then, just get a real petition or let's send emails in bulk to ESPN, and then ,maybe they'll put it on TV, and dude just show your parents how interested you are. Do good in school and do work around the house to earn brownie points. You's be surprised how much more willing your parents will be to do stuff if the house is clean and you have good grades.

Have you actually seen paintball on TV? There is nothing more boring that seeing little people from a camera 40 feet away while they sit behind bunkers and you hear POPOPOPOPOPOPOPOPPOPP for twenty min. They somebody runs alittle and its over.
Bowling is more exciting on TV than paintball.
