what is the best gun i can get for under 280 that i dont need to use nitro for needs works well w/ co2 bps around 20 or more i could do 17 or 18 if it was a good gun i would like a light trigger pull not a cocker or tippnamm |

spyders are reliable as a fat person on a wicker chair if you want 20 bps you need to shell out more than 280 -------------

no cocker whats wrong with them? and i agree with the people before stop being cheap, get a job, get some money,go to the pball store and try out guns that are set to shoot at 20 bps. and i have a question are you new to paintball? if so 20 bps is way to fast for you ------------- 98% of ion owners think ions are better than any high end gun. You could get an Ion for $285. But that's it. To use it reliably at high firing rates, you'll need a good electric hopper that will keep up with the marker and HPA. Good electro hoppers will cost you anywhere from $60-$120. If you want to shoot for a decent period of time, the HPA tank(s) you should get should be around the 68cu/4500psi area. Depending on the manufacturer, you can find them in the $200-$400 range. Basically, you're asking for a Ferrari after you get your driver's license. You're not going to find a marker setup that you want for the price range you've set. It is going to cost you some money. My advice to you is to get a cheap electro gun like a Spyder or some other clone. Yeah why not an A-5 with the E grip and JCS trigger. You can easily get 16 bps out of that and no chops. Airgun designs has the auto mag r/t ule on sale for about 350.00.
you'll never be able to achieve the above mentioned rof with co2. Ions are cool, and i've heard good things about the Diablo wrath. Now a-days, you need lots of $$$ to enter "proffesional" paintball, so i'd focus on woods/scenario for now. later -------------

Like I said before, you can't hit seriouse firing rates without shelling out some moderate to heavy bucks for the entire setup. 13-15 RPS is plenty fast, in fact most people can't even fire that fast, I don't care how much you brag.
It is a must to run HPA when looking for a marker capable of 15+ RPS. Co2 works well, as long as you aren't firing too fast. High levels of c02 make your o-rings freeze up, you'll be replacing alot of o-rings. If you want to start playing, get Tippman 98 custom, and begin playing. Make sure that you actually WANT to invest 400+ bucks in a "proffesional" setup. Thats my advice, take it or leave it. Later -------------

My Spyder was perfect, but I take VERY good care of all my stuff. I sold it and the guy that bought it can't get it to quit leeking. They have nearly a half a case of paint on their belts and I hold my own against them. There is a broad line between skill and throwing ropes of paint. I might lose more, but they have to fire nearly 5 times the paint I do to get me. get a used a5 with ebolt jcs and then save up 75 for the was and then u can get 27 bps for only 280 or less |

Why do you all want BPS? id liek to know acuracy and relibaility of a gun. i hope that i never shoot over 10 BPS, why waste a whole hopper in 5 secs? i usually shoot in very short bursts of 3 balls. if i got my aim right, 10 balls will do just was well as 3. But if u do wana empty on sum1, 15 BPS will do the job just fine GET AN A-5! |

Hey, ive played ONE game, and im ordering an A-5 with flatline and stock for $400. But guess waht, ill never have to spend money ona gun ever again :D. id much rather spend th $400 now, then $200 first, and then another $400 when i get good

Hway, I think you are exaggerating your issues with the A-5. I've had
mine since january 2004, and it works to par, aside from the Tippmann
trademarks of air/battery hog.

Mine has left me hung out to dry three times in a the field, has been through the wringer by the techs from Tippmann twice, and still shows no signs of getting better. Sounds like you got a bad apple. Mine certainly doesn't do that. Maybe
you just got the one in a thousand that slips by quality control. But
with problems like that, it's understandable why the a-5 is not your
friend anymore.
