Spyder's reign is over and probably has been for a few years. ION is Tippmanns and pretty much everyones main competition. I think the Tippmann is a great first time players marker. I went from a Brass eagle to an A-5 and have 2 now. They are both well over a year old and work great. Only gripe is yhat I seem to be going through cyclones. Not sure why either I only have 3 non tippmann parts on mine so I dont think that's the problem.

tippmanns are deffiently the best for a beginner.  They are very easy to take care of , very simple to work and not alot of parts so less things can go wrong.  They dont require alot of matence they just are the best for beginners.

I definitely agree that Tippmann is much better than the Spyders...

but a question with the new Custom Pros, I have a stock for an old 98 Custom and I was wondering if the stock will fit on a Custom Pro

Tippmann is a great beginner marker bullet proof and if you aren't real handy thew will work for a long time with minimal maint.

You're on the Tippmann forum, on Tippmann's site. What do you really think that you're going to get for an answer. Most people here have or want Tippmann's. If you go to a Spider forum, you'll probably get the opposite information there.

But, then I bought my 98C, because it was better then the Spiders I saw and tried.

I got a spyder tlx and it isnt the best gun. I have have loads of ball preakage and half the time im sitting around fixing it. THe best gun is defianltly tippmann. So many more upgrades and as i heard it works very well with hardly no breakage. Spyder autoes are good but i would still rather get a tippman and just add an e grip.

How many people you beat or beat you has nothing to do with which marker is best. You can't pick one gun over another because you suck.

Ding ding ding ding correct besides the last part. i have a spyder pilot acs and i totally kick azz with it. ive been asked 2 play on our skools team and im not even in that skool yet. were i live paintballing is big but spyders arent. me and my friend each have spyders....he has a fenix...but anyway we totally dominate and every1 is askin were we got our guns and what do we have on them. then 6 months ago when my friend and i started a 5 man team we went into out first tournament. we lost 2 of our games and won 1 but we were playin people anywhere from 11-16. We definetlety had the best guns out of the 11 and 12 year olds. the winner of that tournemanthad a choice between a gun or a sponsership. the gun was a tippmann 98 custom. every1 on the winning team started laughing and asked if it was a joke. the peepz who were hosting the tournament then offered them a sponsership from like a groccery store or somethin and the sponsership wasnt very good. they had 2 choose the tippmans or the sponsership. every1 agreed on the sponserhip.

Last time I checked schools don't have paintball teams.

Middle School + Marker + State + Team = No.

There is no middle school in the U.S. that has a paintball team.

Okay i guess its not rele a middle skool team but the skool lets a certain team practice in the woods and in the field behind our skool. Each one of our team members pays the skool district money every month(were renting the field). its about 2 miles behind our skool and theres a little path. the skool offers the field 2 whoever will pay the most 4 rent. we als have setup bunkers back there. but the only way we can do that is if 1 of our parents companies or somethin like that pays for it as a devolopment area. we give the money 2 our parents

it really depends on the tippmann and spyder and what type of paintball ur playing.  tippmann are much more durable and work all the time.  spyders r crapply put together and break a lot, but theyre somteimes better for speedball.  a stock electric spyder is probably better for speedball than a stock 98 or a-5, just cause it can shoot faster.

id still say tippmann over spyder cause tippmanns are quality guns.

Thanks guys for all your opinions.  Please keep this on topic and don't go talking about things that aren't spyder or tippmann related.
