Please help me out here guys.. read the story, then vote to help me out.

The last week I have been very confused on what my decision is too be I know I keep switching back and forth to three different guns, My A5 that I own right now, Ion, and DM4. I am not sure what gun I should have, and there is a story to go with it..

I love the A5 don't get me wrong it is a very good gun, im just not sure if it is good for my style of play. I have used my A5 about two times. 2 months ago about I got it, and I never thought I would play tourney ball back then. My friend two days later after I bought the A5 w/ Dye Ultralite he says, "hey guys we might be thinking of starting a speedball tourament team." The problem is now we probably will be touraments once and a while (not every week), but a few to name the least. We might be doing some scenario's, or recreation also with woods and speedball.

Now here is the problem, I have been deciding as I said above to maybe sell my A5. I have been thinking about the Ion in particular, the DM4 is a gun I want but I know since it costs so much it would be 2 years at least until I would get it. The Ion is at a pretty good cost. $264 I can get it for. I want to make sure I get the right paintball gun that will fit my style of play.

Since I am doing tournies once and a while, I know the A5 isn't the best gun to use for them. I am a back player, I know I could get an E-Grip, but if I was going to put money for that I would rather put the money in a new gun.

I am completely lost what to do ... the guys on PBReview, 36-3 said I should get the Ion.

Im really unsure what to do.

I hope you can vote, and help me decide so im not confused anymore.

Also on a side note, I am getting a job, and selling other paintball gear, and things I dont use. Also I could sell A5, brand new Dye Ultralite barrel, price I dont think would be a problem, if I did that. Im just really confused if I should do that or not.

Just cause this is a tippmann site, im not gonna lie to you. go with the Ion. It's a lot better if your gonna be in speedball. Like you said, ya, you could buy an egrip, but the mony would be better spent if you used it to upgrade your Ion

Ions are alright, but if you save up a little more you can get a lower end autococker which is better than an Ion. You might want to also look at autocockers from 03 and 04.

These are the guns I would recomend to you if you sell your A5:

Worrgames 05 Prostock

04 Vertical Autococker

Evil Omen- Prices on Omens are starting to lower to around $300.00

These are just ideas, All I am saying is if you sell your A5 just don't run out and buy an Ion. Shop around a bit. There are tons of guns out there that are better than Ions but cost just little more. Don't get me wrong though, Ions are good beginer guns for tourney players.

I still have to get $150 air tank, halo hopper, and all that stuff too so I didnt want one too expensive but one that will satisfy me.

Sell A5, buy Ion.
