hey you wont see me, you seem to know a lot. So barrels dont chop balls right? Well i have a richochet apache laoder and a response trigger. Does the laoder speed have anything to do with chopping balls or anything? All the reviews are saying things about "you have to find the correct balls size or the bt-16 will chop balls." Are they right or does their gun suck?

Posted By: You Wont See Me
Date Posted: 19 June 2005 at 5:53pm
Barrels dont chop balls. Chopping balls is when the bolt pinches a ball and causes it to pop because it wasn't fully loaded in the breach before being fired.

Barrels can however break balls when the barrel is too small for the ball or when the ball has defects.

what i heard is when testing paintballs trying rolling a ball through your barrel. With the correct size it shouldnt roll through but you should be able to blow it through. And also, is the ricochet apache loader good?

Posted By: You Wont See Me
Date Posted: 19 June 2005 at 5:58pm
What you heard is corect. To get the proper sized ball you should be able to gently blow it through the barrel.

I'm currently considering buying the Apache for my Ion. It seems to be a great Hopper.

i heard it was 20 bps about. And response triggers cant go fully auto can they, bear with me, im a newb

Posted By: You Wont See Me
Date Posted: 19 June 2005 at 6:01pm
Yes, R/T's can go fully auto. But it takes tuniing.

On a 98C you could see speeds of up to 24 cycles per second(i've seen 21bps) if you have it tuned right.

tuned? hmm...well i have no idea how to tune one so hopefully its already tuned by the guy im buying it from. And are remote cords better for your co2 life?

Posted By: Odin11
Date Posted: 19 June 2005 at 6:05pm
and what happens if its not tuned and you try fully auto, does it jam or something?

Posted By: hybrid-sniper
Date Posted: 19 June 2005 at 6:06pm

Hopefully.

If it isn't tuned right, then the RT wont work or will work poorly. It wont hurt the gun to have a poorly tuned RT.

Remotes can help your amount of shots a little bit; they serve mostly to get the tank out of the way and allow room for the liquid c02 to expand into a gas. Gas running through the gun is much better than liquid, I must say.

Posted By: You Wont See Me
Date Posted: 19 June 2005 at 6:07pm
If its not tuned, it wont go fully auto. Its all about how you pull the trigger. When tuned, you can pull the trigger about halfway back and it will go fully auto. If its not tuned it just wont do it.

Remotes can help by acting as an expansion chamber and giving the liquid c02 more room to expand. It will help your consistancy.

how many shots can a 9oz co2 and 12oz co2 get ya and if you leave the co2 sitting around for a while, will it wear out?

Posted By: You Wont See Me
Date Posted: 19 June 2005 at 6:18pm
Fron a 9 oz you can expect around 400-500 shots with a 98C.

12 oz around 650-750

No the c02 will not "wear out"

so whats your favorite games to play out in the woods. Well whats a good starting game for me, just simple elim? and ctf is taking their flag and bringing it back to your base right?

Posted By: You Wont See Me
Date Posted: 19 June 2005 at 6:25pm
We just play elimination.

Sometimes we mix it up and go 1 vrs all

We're currently building "bases" for capture the flag.

1 person goes out and hides somewhere. The rest of us charge in about 3-5 minutes later when hes ready. It normally ends up with the 1 person covered with welts.

Posted By: Pro-litey
Date Posted: 19 June 2005 at 6:33pm
i would say simple elimination would be good.or you could do some thing like 2 limb shots=out, 1 head shot=out 1 body shot= out or 4 limbs 1 head 2 body. or what ever kind of rules you would want to play.

the bt-16 barrel is definitely not a tourney barrle correct?

Posted By: Pro-litey
Date Posted: 19 June 2005 at 6:41pm
thanks for the um compliment i think but yea i thought it be cool to play like that because then you can usually get shot at least twice unless you play some one with good aim and only goes for the head.(i know some one who only goes for the head but ive never played em yet)luckly

well i think im all set, just need a vest to hold my co2 n pods (goes to ebay)

Posted By: Pro-litey
Date Posted: 19 June 2005 at 6:51pm
or you could just use a back pack. when you layer you get way too hot when you play. the last time i played all i had was a mask viewloader belt(2 tube) shorts and a T-shirt. you really dont need a hole lot of gear.

Posted By: Odin11
Date Posted: 19 June 2005 at 6:55pm
ah very true, but i might as well buy my vest for the cold weather in fall...which brings up my next question. Is it true that you should use short barrels in cold weather and longer ones for cold? I heard that somewhere.

Posted By: Pro-litey
Date Posted: 19 June 2005 at 6:57pm
that doesnt make sence you might want to edit that^^

Posted By: Pro-litey
Date Posted: 19 June 2005 at 7:06pm
but as far as i know the barrel dont matter for the weather i think you can use any barrel all year long, but if you play in the winter cover your CO2 with at least on of those really thick socks that they sell a sporting good stores for hunting cause you dont want your CO2 to get too cold and freeze your gun.

Any one correct me if im wrong.cause im not too sure about the barrels.

We normally play 7 on 7.

It was originally 1 on 2, but then as we got more addicted to the sport our friends started playing and then their friends started palying.
