A few minutes ago I got a weird random IM from my friend saying "HAHA LOOK AT THEM- with a link. Whatever the hell you do, dont click and run it! If you do it will send the same message/virus constantly to everyone whos away/online. It also closes all of your message windows, and other things. Its extremly annoying and impossible to stop. I really hope you read this in time. It happens so fast, and Im sure all my friends and their friend have it now too. -------------

This thread is must read? How so? This happens all the time to people to stupid to use a computer. Hey look, a random person on my buddy list just sent me a link without even saying hi first. Oh look it's a .jpg.exe, that must be a picture file, oh sure, i'll run this file even though it asks me if i want to and warns me that it could run malicious code. Oh n00z, my friend didn't send me a picture, it's a virus. What a jerk, I don't know how they could outsmart me the 1337 hax0r that runs code without knowing what it is even with weird file extensions. -------------

Well you guys are luckier than me, i hae the Efewe (helps if you say it out loud) virus and it just wont leave.

Meh, you should still have your computer secure enough where your mom can't get a virus, decent anti virus with real time scanning, firewall, good internet security settings on your browser that's not internet explorer (opera or firefox) then you wouldn't have this problem, plus nightly antivirus and spyware scans to boot -------------

Im really pissed at this. Yeah I probaly deserve it. I just made a new sn, and it still does it! It doesnt send the message (that I can tell), but closes my windows making instant messaging impossible. I hope they come out with a fix for this. Damn nerds. -------------

Yeah I wasnt thinking I guess. Go ahead and laugh at me. Ok so I did a little google search for a fix. Sure enough I found one. I downloaded it, and it located and terminated the stupid virus! Thank you God. Hopfully all my buddies who were infected will see the link on my xanga and this whole deal will be done with. Haha, the sad part, it asked me if I wanted to "run" like you did, and I clicked run.. -------------

If you can never get your computer to get rid of a virus, just get your whole computer wiped out. That is what I had to do because every antivirus program we sent through our computer wouldn't catch it. It made my desktop blue with a warning saying there is a virus. Also in the preferences, you couldn't switch the desktop because there was no option. Thank goodness the virus is gone.
