I'm having alot of troubles with my original Scott mask that I've been using for some time fogging up, I've tried no-fog sprays and they are good for 10-15 min before the fog starts coming back again. I see there are a few masks/goggles available with fans and also double lenses as well. My question is what works and what should I stay away from, Is there a brand of mask that I should be looking for?

i have jt's with the double lens and have no trouble at all some guys at my local field have the ones with fans, they say not only does it prevent fog problems but they also keep your face cool enough the sweat dosen't get into your eyes!!

edit- the scott goggles kinda squash your head if i rember correctly try on a diffrent pair you'll think your in heaven

I wouldnt buy a fan. With good goggles they wont fog at all so a fan wont do much except make you slightly cooler, and not able to hear well. Id only suggest a fan if you have trouble with your glasses fogging.

Any kind of thermal lense work great and wont fog at all.

Buy a V-Force mask.

Nothing beats their anti-fog capabilities.

Actually I'm an IT tech at V-force, they're making masks with toaster systems attached for those 24 hour scenerio games.

I still can't make mine fog.

My mask has an mp3 player in it, I think it's way better then a fan.

I'm thinking about installing a mini fridge in mine, maybe a camera.

Great!!! Thanks for the info, I will be looking for a V-force mask with the toaster and a mini refrigerator option! Just for info, I've had my scott mask for about 3 years, ( it came with my first 98 custom ) I never used to have a problem with it untill this year ??? Also it's been very humid here in Minnesota...

I'd say either go for a V-Force mask or a JT mask.

I didn't read all the posts but, I have thermal lenses and a fan and it's heaven. If you have the money to spend gat a fan, it keep your face cool while the rest of your body is overheating. But with good lenses, it is not essential. I can't remember what mask i have at the moment, the fan was like $50 extra though....ouch, but worth it to me, I sweat like a pig on a beach.

Ahhh I have an envision mask I think, not sure, it's pretty cool though.

Your welcome, I would've recommended the son of the Profiler., The Vantage Pro, but the Morph is good as well.

I have a Scott Mask and wear glasses and was having the same problem but with the glasses. Go to Radio Shack and get the small computer fan ( about 1 1/8" square and about  a 1/4" thick) for about $12.00 a small single pole toggle switch,a 9 volt battery clip and a package of 9 volt battery leads( about 20.00 total). Use wire ties to secure the fan to the top of your goggles in your mask, a solder gun to make the connections to the toggle and feed the wires through. On my mask I had to wire tie the battery clip under the strap on the outside of the side shield and trim just a little to fit the fan under the brim lip. have only used once so far but it worked great I COULD SEE and didnt fog.  Beats buying a new mask and a custom fan setup.

you know extreme rage makes  a mask called the 20/20 which has a fan in it?  I hear people really like it.
