howdy, im semi-new to the paintball world. ive owned a few in the past and am looking to get back into things. im looking at a gun that would best fit my needs. here is what i am looking for, in order . . .

1. reliability - must be very reliable

2. accuracy - must be capable of good accuracy

3. options - customizing in regards to ergo's to fit my specific preferences. I notice that Tippman offers an aftermarket 3 pos. collapsable stock patterned directly after the XM/M4A1 style, this item gained my attention. Does the tank interfere in any way? Is quick shouldering drastically effected? How is the sight alignment with the 3 pos?

now, does (stock form) trigger pull vary greatly from gun to gun like they do with firearms?

any help would be great, thanks!

1. Tippmann are one of the most reliable guns.
2. accuracy depends on barrel to paint match
3. Tippmanns are one of the most upgradable guns.

The stock trigger pull on a 98 custom is 3 lbs.

I'd consider a 98c. Reliable, durable, upgradeable.

Mechs like Tippmanns have longer, heavier trigger pulls than say, an E-Spyder. Trigger pull means nothing however, when the gun wont work. *cough* spyder *cough*

If you buy an E-bolt or an E-Grip for your Tippmann, the trigger pull is lessened due to the introduction of electronics.

Something to consider.

EDIT- as for the Stock, the tank would probably not interfere with the position of the tank on the regular Tippmann ASAs. To be certain the tank would not get in the way of the Stock, you could buy a  drop forward or a remote to get the tank out of the way.

I can accept failure, but I can't accept not trying.
