I'm trying to install the Expansion Chamber and Response Trigger on my 98c and am still trying to remove the valve from the powertube.  I saw on a few previous posts that you have to stick a pen or something down the power tube and depress the springloaded thing down.  Is this correct?  I managed to remove the loctited hose from the valve as well as the screws.  Also, when reinstalling, will teflon tape take the place of the loctite when puting the vertical adapter in for the expansion chamber and when puting the air line into where the tank skrews in? Thanks

correct just push it out with a dowel or pencil, yes teflon tape will be fine be sure to wind it on opposite the way you thread it in or it will unwind itself alos be careful not to pui it on past the end of the threads or it may enter the internals......not good welcome to the forums

thank you very much.  Does anyone have any other advice for putting in a response trigger, expansion chambre, and a double trigger.  BTW, does anyone know if a Halo TSA LED Frontman has any special instructions, the ones it came with are for the LCD, however it seems easy enough to use.

With the x-chamber, the instructions tell you to thread the vertical adapter in all the way down to the 1st or 2nd thread(at least my instructions did). This isn't necessary..thread it in so that it sits comfortably in the right receiver half. Oh, and after you've reassembled your gun, if there seems to be a bit of a gap between receiver halves, make sure you thread the screws in all the way.

It should be hard to get the valve out of the PT because of all the factory dried Loctite. Get a pencil or wooden rod and push very hard. You can try putting it in the freezer for a while first (but be carefull you dont crack the PT since it will be more brittle). Also do this with your valve before you put it into the new PT.

Use teflon tape. Im so glad you know how to use it because I can stand how people use Loctite here. Just be sure your using it correctly, wrap clock-wise starting 2 threads up and add about 4 layers.

And with the vertical adapter, do what he said above me. I screwed mine in like the directions and had to start over. Just scre it in untill it fits.

yea, i got the valve out and apart for cleaning purposes and back into the new powertube.  I am not having trouble with something else.  I have the rt in, a double trigger, and an expansion chamber installed.  When I test fired with just co2 attached, it would only fire one shot then I would have to recock.  My velocity screw was all the way in, perhaps this is that problem.  Also, when i played with the rt adjuster, i was able to get it to do a few short bursts of air, then it would have to be recocked, cocking it seems more difficult now, perhaps i need more oil on the internals.  Also, now the safety wont put into the safe position.  Any ideas as to what the heck is goin on?

Im glad its working now.

As for the safety, the only thing I can think of is somthing with the new trigger. Next time you crack open your gun, move the safety around and see if theres anything getting in the way.

there does not appear to be any blockage, it is a psychoballistics trigger, perhaps they may have some info about the safety problem.........................heh, when I get it installed correctly I can do the Safety Dance...jk
