Seeing how the US got the Olympics in 1996 and 2002 I think a different country is due. Canada got the 2010 and I am pretty happy about that. ------------- |

When I was in France they advertised everywhere how they were an
Olympic Candidate. It was quite funny. All the Eiffel Tower, famous
structures, etc.

Sorry if we have any nice French people here. :) A friend of mine in London is actually worried about security during the games because the borders of England are relatively relaxed and any potential terrorists can start preparing now. -------------

If only they'd let me be in them...I like podiums, and those shiny things at the end-those are fun to pet. That said, I can't imagine how bad it'll be to watch the Olympics in England-come on, those accents! No, but seriously, I think it'll be good. Two good things put together normally ends well. |

Thank god. I was hoping beyond hope that it wouldnt come to NYC. Jesus that would have been a disaster. The NYPD has no crowd control whatsoever, and theyre response to people walking around during the RNC last november was to imprison them.

i really dont give a crap where the olympics is, ever, so long as its not in MD because i hate tourists walking around like retards with cameras around their necks and safari hats like their in africa or something(my dad is a perfect example) -------------
