Hey everybody! Right now i'm in between guns. this year or maybe next i'm gonna get some money and i was wondering which should i get when i get some $$$. a-5, Ion, or another gun that cost around the same price?

I'm asking because i thought "i'm gonna definantly get an a-5" but then i've been researching smart parts and have really come to like their products.

Ion, faster than a5, no need to upgrade it to make it better, it's fine just stock.

alright yall have used one before right?

i'm seriously thinking about getting an Ion, but at first i was kind of not sure about finding a hopper that could load fast enough for my liking.

so anybody have any objections or comment about using a halo b? and what makes it better than any other?

well, the empire b is an excellent hopper, but the sound activation system sometimes doesnt "hear" an ion. thats why i prefer the vision system in the halo, it only feeds when theres no paint in the fedneck, no need to adjust speeds

Be sure to get a good HPA tank, and I'd go with a Halo B.

no the batteriy apparatus hooks to a 9-volt stlye plug, so if you just remove the apparatus and put in a 9volt, rap it in foam fo it stays still........ and BAM!!!!!!!!! lighter hopper

I was in the same thing. i was going to get a a5, but then i wanted to be different. So i got a ion. The ion is great! It has the eyes inside to make it never chop a ball. full auto is already 1 of the 4 fireing modes. Unlike the a5 u have to buy a egrip, on ion its already installed. all you might consider getting is nitro tank, drop foward, and a barrel.

Read sig for perfect setup. (cost 650$ brand new)

p.s. ion shoots 17 sec. a5 is only semi auto outa the box. and if u shoot over 15 a sec with the a5 the cyclone wont feed it!

AH ok i agree. about the ion being able to shoot faster than the a-5.

i mean i'm looking for a gun that can shoot and perform excellent and i don't have to pay a lot. so i agree now that i think about it, that if you're wanting a fast shooting gun you get tha ion and that's what i'm looking for.

i have a question about the eyes, is it reliable?

i also want to ask, If i buy the ion (which right now looks like what i'm gonna pick) and i buy a nitro tank, how does it perform stock with a nitro?

the egg is actually a very good hopper, and cheaper than a halo b. you can get it with the z board right now for 80 bucks and it'll load almost as fast as the halo. looks a little wierd, but that's ok.

and the rip drive is just something you can manually turn just in case your hopper runs out of batteries. if you choose the halo, it's a pretty good idea.

as an ion is capped at 17 bps an egg with a y board will keep up with it for about $60 anything more is over kill. or if you ever plan on getting something faster can go with a halo b so you don't have to uggrade your hopper in the future. If your gogint o get a Halo B get the rip drive its only $10 more and its worth it.

How much do you want to spend? How much do you shoot per game? Can you get the tank filled at your field?

if you can find a place that fills to 5000, pbgear has a pmi 68/5000 tank for 205 bucks. or there're evil tanks that fill up to 5000, they're tight.

i'm willing to spend $200 dollars or around that for a nitro rank.

the most i'v ever shot in a game had to be around 150 balls.

and i'm not guite sure if i can get it refilled at my field. i'm pretty sure i can though.

My pick would be Macdev, but their Legionair tanks are hard to find. The Conquest, like I have, is very expensive and extremely hard to find (new)

If you can find a Legionair at around 200, go for it. If not, Crossfire. Last resort is the Pure Energy tank. I have one of those as a backup, and they do okay. Still, last resort.
