Well I'm not sure how all this came about, but my dad has always had a high BP problem, as it runs in the family (luckily I haven't had any problems as of yet) but he went in last Thursday and was gonna get a stint or something like that to unclog something (thats what I got from it at least) but then before the procedure they picked up that 2 other arteries were also pretty clogged, how you can miss that is beyond me... w/e.

So after that they put him in ICU for the night at Aurora hospital in Oshkosh, and then sent him by ambulence to Aurora Baycare hospital in Green Bay the following day (friday) and kept him all weekend long monitoring and preparing him for three coronary artery bypass procedures on Monday, today.  Reason being that heart surgeons for Aurora are stationed in GB.

So right now I'm guessing they're either finishing up the procedure or already done...

Hoping for good results...

Don't worry, he'll come out of it all right.  My family has quite a history of heart troubles, my grandpa had a heart attack, and then had 6 bypasses, and he's in great shape, and very active.  My dad also survived a heart attack last year.  You and your family are very lucky, if he needs this procedure done, that means he was very close to suffering from a heart attack, but they caught it in time, and this will prevent it.

Best wishes to you and your father.

My best wishes go out to you and your family. My grandfather got a tripple or quad bypass, I can't remember which. He turned out fine.

..hah

I missed the whole story but my step mom was saying something about the doctor thinking that my dad once had a minor heart attack once when he was younger and his heart somehow managed to work around it or something like that.

ANYway... just got phone call from my stepmom saying that all went well and they didn't have to do as many procedures as predicted...

Kinda funny that I got it while typing this.

edit* and thank you everyone .

He will not believe how much better he will feel after he recovers. His energy level will double.
