| OK, so I read all about these things and I'm gonna get them for our C98 with Flateline, R/T and remotes (CO2). Someone please tell me about the "break in period" and how do you adjust them to work with my set up?????? Do they come with clear instructions???? Any tips/help with set up would be appreciated. |

Having a chronograph and a gauge lying about would be a great idea. I've never owned a regulator, so yea...

The break in period is just the time it takes for the parts to wear in properly, and the spring to take it's set. For the first few hundred shots, it won't be as consistent. There is really no adjusting to your set up. Screw it into your vertical adapter, hook the air line to it's input, and use the reg to adjust your velocity, and the guns velocity adjusting screw to fine tune it. A guage on the side is nice to have just to let you know what your pressure is.
It does come with pretty clear instructions. |

the break in period could be anywhere between 500 rounds and 2 cases
to set up ur reg/velocity after it is broken in, screw the built in velocity screw to the point where the inner end of the screw is flush with the wall of the inside of the power tube/valve assembly, then turn the reg way down, increase pressure until you achieve the velocity u need (285-300fps) the first time u set up ur velocity, (the process above), just show up at ur field a little early, it will take 10 minutes or less -------------

| You might have problems with recocking if you do it that way because of the RT. It will reduce the pressure enough that the air diverted to the RT will not leave enough pressure to fully cock the bolt. I have to have my velocity adjustment screw in a little so that their is enough pressure to guarantee cocking. I keep my pressure at about 350ish. |

break in period is from 2000-3000 shots fired. you do not have to shoot
paint to break it in. this if from palmer when i taked to them,
however, it can take much less, and has taken more for some people ------------- www.pbteamwow.com |
