So, I and my family missed the 4th on July and are gonna do fireworks tonight.  I need your help deciding on the order of them, kinda plan the show.  My Uncle and I will be doing it, and we have fuses so we can link fireworks together, IE set 10 off at teh same time.  Here is what we have to work with:

12 mortor shells (explode like real fireworks, the kind that you go to see)
24 bottle rockets
8 warhawk missles (shoot into the air and burst into flames)
4 roman candles
6 tanks (shoot forward then explode)
24 30 second smoke bombs
4 2 minute smoke bombs
300 firecrackers (yes, 300)
36 snakes

Here is what I thought:
  1. use all the snakes before we "start" and some firecrackers
  2. light 6 smoke grenades along with 6 bottle rockets shooting from behind them and 4 tanks in front
  3. light 2 2 minute smoke nades, have tanks shoot through smoke
  4. shoot 2 mortor shells
  5. light 4 smokes and have 4 warhawks shoot behind them
  6. use 2 2 minute smokes with 6 30 second smokes with 6 bottle rockets and 2 roman candles
  7. shoot 4 mortar shells with 60 firecrackers and 2 warhawks
  8. finale:  8 smokes infront, 100 firecrackers with 12 bottle rockets (shooting in quick pairs) followed by 2 roman candles (together) followed by 2 warhawks (together) then 6 mortars

If I knew what that was

But all we ever have are fountains (thats all thats legal where I live, but these will be set off in a legal place) and the occasional firecrackers.  So we opted not to do any fountains, we have had our share of them.

The firecrackers are Black Cat and they SUCK!

My friend had some kind of firecrackers and 1 (not a pack, but 1 from a pack of 10) would blow a coke can in half, but 3 packs of these wont even maek a hole in it :(

Best idea I can give you. 500 G cakes. About $40-80 a peice but damn worth it. I spent about $300 this year on fireworks, and retail it would of been close to $500-600 give or take.

I hate those tanks.... never use them unless your in a bomb proof room or something, they go outta control and blow up near you. Make sure if theres any kids around that there well out of the way when the tanks fire. Other than that, you enjoy the 300 firecracker strand, there great. Just go bigger next time

Well, its about $70 worth, but we have to go at least 3.5 hours to get something that is NOT a fountain.  I think next year we will be getting a "pro" set (4 mortor tubes and 48 shells, all different shapes and effects), one very large fountain, some candles, and some really nice rockets.

Give redcrackers to everyone before you start and just let them light them off like crazy.

All i know is that mortars should always be last.

whats in that panda?  It'd be cooler if you used bamboo for the casing of your m-80.  There would be catastrophic results...

Before I got into paintball twice a year (4th and new years) a huge group of us would have a big bottlerocket war, so we used to go over the border to Alabama and buy Bottle rockets by the case. 24 gross for $25 and we would get a few 100 shot missle batteries for clearing a group of attackers fast, it's the funniest thing you have ever seen when you come around a corner holding a little box firing 100 rockets like a machine gun.

It was loads of fun, but I will deal with the paintball bruises over the burnt fleash and hair any day!

OH ya it hurt...So i'm holding a couple of those flashing flare type fireworks (the white hot ones) in my left hand while I was lighting some bottlerockets and some how a spark ended up in my left hand with them, next thing I know my hand melts causing it to be fused in the shape of a closed fist. Long story short..the next morning I went to the doctor he said I could have/might loose my hand with those 3rd degree burns. I had to keep the blisters safe from popping for a month and a half while the damaged fixed itself or I will get an extreme infection in it.
That blister got so big and tight that my hand was stuck in a claw position for a couple of weeks after it started healing.

I didn't play with fireworks this year!
