A-5, will last you a lot longer, and you can buy a WAS board to make it rip like crazy

Tough call. I played with a friends ion a while ago on a sunday. Very light, very small, very quite. The next sunday I played with another friends A5. I found it to be heavy, awkard (I have a 98) and loud. However, I'm not one for having to deal with batteries (batteries for ion and hoppers, what a pain). The A5 is defintely more rugged and will last longer, but it's harder on air, so I don't know. If I were to upgrade my 98 right now (puts on flame suit, and stands away from any combustable materials), I think I'd get the ion. For myself, playing speedball in the front positions, I think the weight and size of the A5 would be a hinderance.

mines fairly light too.  It weighs less than my friends Ion when we both have paint and air on and I have whats in my sig on it and his only weighs like a 1/4 lb. less than mine without air and he has a steely 47/3000 which weighs more than my c02 and Flatline put together.  His gun is like a tank compared to mine it weighs a whole pound more.
