Subject: center fed top-front cocking 98c

been working on this for a while i had to make my own center feed i wanted one that hinged just like stock since no one makes one i had to take matters into my own hands. after that i decided i wanted to cock it in a unique way, top cocking is cool but i wanted something i haven't seen before so after alot of thought i decided to go with a top-front cocking (mabey someone has done this but i haven't seen it). then i wanted to do some custom milling i rounded off the top where the dovetails used to live and filled the bottom where the round part meets the square and created a radius, then i welded shut the original cocking slot, front velocity adjuster hole, warnings and finialy welded shut the rear sight hole. after all the welding and filing was done i finished milling the rear sight and the finger grooves on the foregrip. when the gun was done i turned to the x-chamber i removed almost an inch in length (i removed one of 4 stages to achieve this) to improve the looks. after all that i primed and painted. enjoy

How did you do the front top cocking without messing up the linkage arm? Is the linkage arm far enough back to not get in the way?

that is sweet.  i like the top cocking, the centerfeed, and the flams.

i think what The Guy was talking about was you did not get it threaded and have feedneck put in.  who who cares, it's topcocking and centerfed.  and has a cool paintjob.

john.

I have been trying to figure out how you guys filled in the holes for the rear cocking lever and the original feed port.  The center-top-cocking thing seems pretty basic (well too complicated for me, but the idea behind it is basic), so did you guys have to re-mill the whole halfs or did you "fill and drill"?
