I have a Spyder Compact 2001 I believe. I shot it earlier and it was fine, now it shoots once and on the second shot a BRRRRRRP sound occurs and it stops, It shoots fine if i cock it agian then once agian, BRRRRRRP! After shooting it this way about 20 times (hoping it would work out) It now shoots once and you have to recock it. It Still does that BRRRRp sound too.

Try a different CO2 tank. It sounds like you're just low on air.

Its an old co2 tank so that might be the problem.

Old or new, shouldnt matter, as long as it hasn't passed the hydro date. Just get it filled. or try someone elses tank that was just filled.

You wont need a new tank just a full one. The tank either holds the pressure or it doesn't. The hydro date is just the inspection date when the tank needs recertified to legally hold press. If it's a Co2 tank it is usually cheaper to replace it than pay $20-40 to get it hydrotested. Just thought I would clear that up. There seemed to be some confusion starting.
A tear down and cleaning and oiling should be done to the gun on a regular basis.

gassyness. your out of it. if you cant tell from all of these posts your silly. how long have you been playing? if youve never heard the PBBBBBBT! sound of doom, that pretty much means you only have emptied the tank 1 time. or so.

He might actually not be out of gas. I had the same problem with my old Afterburner. The only way I found to fix it was to dump a large amount of oil into it before playing.

Why does everyone keep saying the same thing??  I mean we know that he might need to

1. fill his tank

2. change his hammer o-ring

3. oil his marker

Well man try these 3 out and let us know.
