Subject: R.I.P. Marina
Date Posted: 21 July 2005 at 10:14pm

I had a weiner dog, a silly little runt named Marina...she was weird, but lovable...but today, coming home from baling hay...I drove up the driveway...and she ran under the wheel...I heard her last yelp, ran out the car, and held her soon lifeless body for the last time...

She was only a few years old, and I know she loved every minute of her life, but I still feel horrible...

I got my license on Friday...and this morning, after talking to my girlfriend, who got in an accident Sunday, I told her at least her accident was out of the way, that mine was still coming up...I wish I would have been wrong...

Theres a million things that could have gone differently...but life goes on...she had a good life, and last night, for no reason, I played with her for like a hour...guess that was God's way of giving me a chance to say goodbye...

Thats terrible dude...

Thats a very weird coincidence though. My ex gf I went out with for a year and 2 month's name was Marina, and I was at her house and we watched her dog get run over buy a truck. Missed the front wheels but hit the back. She did the same thing you did, ran and held her.

I'm truely sorry to hear it, I know losses like that are painful.

She was starting to shift from "run-aroun all day pretending to hunt rabbits country dog" to "lie in the sun, lazily, sleep 14 hours a day house dog" so maybe this was all for the best, she left before things got to boring for her...

I'm sorry Marina...

Na, her name was Alexis...she got in a car accident, realized what was important in life, and came back to me...so shes not my ex....

Man...Marina used to wake me up every morning at like 3 to let her outside to take a piss...I used to yell at her when she wouldn't come back for a hour, fall asleep on the couch, and wake up freezing with no blanket and shes barking her head off at me for not letting her in...I miss that

You've been driving for that short of a time and you ran over your own dog? Thats twisted. God's way of telling you not to get in a car again?

I'm feeling sorta better...I realize that it was a total accident, nothing could have stopped it...I was in first gear...couldn't have been going more than 5 mph...she always stands right by the car when my dad pulls up, I was in his old car...she must have thought I was him...I didn't turn as sharp as he normally does...

She had a great life, better than any dog could have wished for, my only regret was that it was cut short...

Our older chocolate lab, Jaeger, who was like a mother to Marina, now spends most of her time lying by the resting place of her favorite pal...

Shes too small to see unless shes way to the side, and she probably thought she was perfectly safe, that the car was going to turn a bit sharper....she never was too bright, never moved much for cars...I was going really slow, its not like a floored it up the driveway...just bad luck...really bad luck

So touching..... Sorry to hear it. I had a 3 year old lab. It was my best friend, one day it was hit by a UPS Van. We didnt have time to get it to a vet. I had to shoot it. It was probably the hardest thing ive ever done. I was WAYYYYYYYYYY depressed. Now i got a chihuahua (is this right?) and it stays inside. only thing to hurt it is my cat.

Maybe you shouldnt have let her run around outside while driving. Her death is all your fault. Too bad it wasnt someone's toddler baby so that you would realise that driving isnt all fun and games.

Just remember when you go to sleep tonight... Crunch!!!

Then

Yelp.

Your could have braked and came to a complete stop and safetly moved your dog away from the moving vehicle

Looks like it is back to Driver's Ed for you.

Hades you are one heartless piece of dirt. I hope somthing that close to you gets killed, then youll see how it feels, And i feel for you Klaus, what he just said was totally unacceptable, I wish you the best of luck in recovering. And Hades when someone is suffering from a loss, the last thing you needed to do is make it worse. You deserve to be the one suffering, not him. It hurts me to think if it was me in his place, Like i said he didnt deserve it Quote" I had a 3 year old lab. It was my best friend, one day it was hit by a UPS Van. Mabey everything will turn out ok like it did for me....Im praying for you that it will

Hades,

Could he control the dog? NO i didnt think so. And saying crunch and yelp is being very hard on him. He doesnt deserve it. Its called comforting not confessing. Helphim in his time of need if your going to comment on this.
