(Not saying i would or wouldnt do this! Just wana see what people think!)

If your home field makes you use there paint but you plan for a all day outing with your team and you are runing low and cash..would it be such a bad thing to do if you useing some paint you had laying around in your room?

I would do it. Just make sure the paint isn't too old or then it'd be worth it for the paint.

Yes, the feild should kick you out and ban you for life.

My field used to have that rule.

I'm thinking if a feild puts up a certain rule, you should abide by it, even if you dissagree.  If you can't afford to buy there paint, suggest to the management a BYOP day...

yea paint is a lot of $$$. u gotta MIX it. buy some of theirs and mix in some of ur own, preferably close to the same color so its not too noticable.

Im only against this, because we have a field (called HotShots) thats indoors, and they strictly enforce the "Field Paint Only" rule...

They used to allow BYOP, but you know how people will take advantage of a good thing....

A few years ago, when BYOP was allowed, someone brought in the "Mace-Filled" paintballs, which are commonly used as a Riot Enforcer in your local jails.  The jerk decided to play with them, I would guess as a joke, thats all I can think.

No serious injury occured, however, the people were complaining that their eyes would suddenly burn after being peppered up, and it didn't take long to realize what was happening.  The victims, who ranged from children playing for their first time, to your regular weekend warrior, decided they wanted to bring charges not only against the Jerk, but the field owners as well for letting him use the balls.  This seems really stupid, but common, you know how crazy people will get when their really, REALLY upset.

I havn't played their much anymore, but it all has cleared up, and all thats left to show of it is the now-enforced "Field Paint Only" rule...

You might not be trying to joke around with other players, but you never know when the Jerk who wants too will roll around.  Follow the rules, their there for your own fun and safety

This is worse than spending all day at the movies after buying only one ticket and sneaking in your own food. Have fun playing in your feilds parking lot after they close down because you were to cheap the follow the rules.

Bingo, me too. Fields make most of their money off paint, air, and rentals. If you like the field and have the money, support it by buying their paint.

id say try goin to a field that allows byop. unless u really like that field then dont risk gettin kicked out.

i try not to deal with that BS and just get 15-20 of my friends and go into tha woods and make are own rules. this way we have no BS and and dont have to worry about frozen balls or pepper balls.

step inside your field managers shoes for a second, paying a for insurance, and other expensives and you basicly, steal from them. how would you feel?

yeah man the field owner is trying to make a living too. If you can't afford the paint try not shooting as much. Conserve you paint and make every shot count. Don't steal from your field pay as much as everyone else.

Thatz why I like reffing I get my paint for cost

This is not a very well thought out reply.

Way help the future of the sport!?!?!

DURR... we are still buying paintballs!!!!

Maybe your feild doesnt have good paint or maybe they are way overpricet. So I say if your field has bad paint or they are jerking you on the price... why not... As long as you dount do something dumb like put mace balls in your hopper..... now I would never do this at my home field the price is good and there paint is ok so I have no reason to use my own paint.

Then find another field to play if there paint is so bad. So you’re condoning steeling? Even though you say you don’t. I find that hard to believe.

Stealing is takeing something that doesnt belong to you smart one...

And you find what hard to believe?

let me put it to you like this I dount smoke but i dount care if people do it..is that so hard to believe???......Im sure you feel like that about something.....i think we call that "hipacritical"

I dount see how takeing a few pods of your own paint and playing a few more rounds of ball with your friends is such a bad thing

...I know when I open my field after I get outa school I wont bother with byop rules. I will just make them have there paint checket to make sure there not mace balls or what not and if my field is that despret for money i will just have like a 10$ byop fee or something along that line. im not opening a field to rip kids off by overpriceing everything i am opening a field for the love of the game and nothing more or less

Which is exactly what you are doing.  By shooting paint on their field you are causing the field to incur expenses.  By not buying paint from the field, you aren't paying for those expenses.

Shooting non-field paint at a 'field paint only' field is the economic and moral equivalent of shoplifting.

If enough people cheat this way, field paint prices will have to go up even more, and cheaters like you will use those higher prices to justify your continued theft, subsidized by us honest folk.

It is stealing - don't kid yourself.

I have some great fields around me that are FPO...Thier paint prices are really pretty good, and you can bring unused paint back if you want.

If there is a crappy field that charges alot for paint, find another field, or get yourself a crony and play out in the woods...

Well sometimes there isn't another field around you. But not buying there paint actually is a form of stealing, but say you go to another paintball field on vacation or something and have some leftover paint  like maybe a hopper full or so eve though it is stealing i would fill up my hopper and a few pods because then your wasting paint. It's your decision. everyone has there own opinion but the fact of it is, it is stealing.

Get a pump gun. If you can't afford a bag of 500 balls, you are in the wrong sport.
A very nice golfclub down the stree of me is $110 a round.
