I just recieved my new 98 Custom Pro E with a built in E-grip yesterday!! Its amazingly awsome!! I love it to no end, I felt so great shooting it on a illegal field out in the woods. I did amazing. Not only because the gun shot great but the attitude it gives you when you play. I recieved no malfunctions in the first 3 quarters of the day playing. Overall the gun gave me a 7 kill 2 death Ratio which only one death was a complete knock out.

Anyway the real problem is towards the last 2 games I played a 1 on 1, and it started having multiple malfunctions. First the Paintballs were not shooting and it was just air, than it would just click and not shoot gas at all. I noticed that it would weirdly cock 3 quarters of the way and I had to manually fulling cock it. Than it was just clicking and not shooting. Than it would work again but not release any paintballs. Now I have a gravity hopper but I would shake the hell out of it and it still would not shoot any ammo as though they were getting stuck somewhere. After long pauses in the 1 on 1 match it finnally worked has not malfuntioned since. I am gonna try it again on monday. Help me please if you know what went wrong. Thanks

hmm thats funny how it was still shooting as though it had about a half a tank. Hmm since when does low air have any result on the paintball feed? Or when does it have any signs of showing that if it was scewed all the way ino the adapter, was just clicking and than suddenly started shooting as though it was not anywhere close to empty.  Hmm I just know I can really trust your hypothesis. Yea all right

Clean and oil it. This sounds like it could be a breakin type deal.

Well if it was low on air.. the bolt won't cycle back all the way, requiring you to recock it and preventing it from feeding. Sounds like your first problem to me.

As for it suddenly working again.. if you're on CO2 you could have just had a drop in pressure and as it heated up it worked again. I don't know why the balls wouldn't feed after that. Maybe they just jammed somehow.

It does sound like you had some kind of air trouble, either low on air or pressure fluctuations.

Okay, I don't have a clever signature zinger. So sue me.

i had similar problems, when i fist bought it and used it on the feild. At first i thought it was co2 cannister. NOT true, it worked fine. from my understanding, i think it just has to get broken in, cuz ever since the first day on the field, i never had a problem since

It works fine now. I used it again yesterday. I used it against a real professional with one of those thousand dollar guns and well... At least I beat em once. He got me twice and I got him once with a headshot, might of been luck though, but I still love the feel of the gun. The tank was refilled so it probably was the low preasure in the tank for the malfuntions. And as far as the balls not feeding probably because of the gravity hopper. Maybe 2 balls were lodged and jammed into the drop hole and even if you did shake the hell out of it it wouldn't drop. I'll just have to pick up an electric one. Thanks everyone
