hey all, i realize i havnt posted in some time... but there has been a problem.. I have sufferd 2nd/3rd degree burns all over my arms, back, chest etc...
i have been in the hospital for 5 days with heat stroke, and some skin rehabiliating things, you dont realize how painfull it is right noe for me to type, but i wanted to get thi message across ASAP, I will not be able to paintball for the rest of the season... I will not be fully recoverd for 2-3 months, and there will suggnificent scaring and etc...
what happend is that I went to a lake... Bear lake and well I had to much fun and didn't realize my sun block washed off into the water and I got fryed... the night I came home I knew I was burnt... but nothing like I thought... I began puking Everything I had, shivering, and I went into a small coma for 2 days. when I woke up I was in the hospital with my dad sleeping in the chair next to me I woke up screaming from the pain I was in, well the good news is, that I had an unlimited ammount of morphing .
Well anyways, now I have to go threw a crapp load of physical therepy, and I may need some plastic surgery around my arms.
let this be a leason... when you hop in a lake... make sure your sun screen is water proof 33....
i hate this labtop, freakin thing is slow.

What hurts is the rebuilding of the nerves, i assume then.
Seriously, how long were you out, and what were you doing? I have spet
nearly all day in the sun with no protection and all that came from
that was a somewhat severe sunburn. Were you dehydrated?

I think the water amplifies the sunburn factor, but I had a friend that went to the pool and stayed for 12 HOURS and he got fried, he came to homeroom with bubbles of puss about the size of golf balls and they would get bigger and then shoot puss out. He didnt come to school again for 3 weeks he was in the hospital. It was bad. Well I hope you get better. (do you have any cool puss bubbles?) He got Vicodene (sp?)

Ive never gotten burned though. I have good skin so i just get a super nice tan.

Sorry, I had to:
http://imageshack.us">
I've had something like that, but luckily it was only on my shoulders. Being Irish like me means never going outside for long this time of the year without sunscreen. I know how painful that crap is, where you can't even move your arms or have anything even lightly touch it. This lasted for almost a week. I didn't get sick or anything, but it was excruciatingly painful. I was out for about 3 hours with no sunscreen. Very stupid on my part. I'm probably guaranteed to get skin cancer now, especially since my dad's had it before.
Trust me, I've been pwned hardkore by the sun plenty of times. Now I don't have to worry as much because I've become one of those basement-dwelling creatures.

I think its that a 1st 2nd and 3rd degree burn from the sun is different from burns you would get if you say, poured water on a grease fire. I did that at a fire station open house. It scared me so much i fell on my butt.

Well you arent supposed to pour water on a greese fire, the water is coulder than the burning greese, it sizzles and sprays flaming grease everwhere, you get a fireball 10 meters all around depending on how much water you put on, i just threw a cup on it. I had a full fire suit on and a poll with a little cup duct taped on the end. They told me it would get hot breifly but not to worry. They didnt warn me i was gonna be engulfed.. It startled me so much i tripped backwards.

No, a grease fire, its just a pan with some flames, i walked up all in fire gear, and im like i cant believe they think im gonna get hurt from this. This is easy. Flames, all in the pan maybe 2-3 inches tall. I poured the water and as soon as it hits, it flares up everywhere, if you pour water on your grease fire at home, your entire kitchen will be tourched.

If you take if off the stove it will probly go out. To kill a grease fire you can either turn off the stove, cover the skillet if it has a lid and use baking soda anything to smother it.
