so i just pulled out my carbine and was cleanin it since i wanted to take it out to the woods this weeekend and i start to reasseble when i get to the linkage arm. for some reason it wont fit into the marker right. it wont let me cock the gun if i have it in. i looked at the manual but it didnt seem to help any. i thought maybe i lost something but i looked around the area i was cleaning and nothing was missing. can someone help? reply back here, send me email, or on im would be great. thanks

You probably have the front bolt in backwards.

o-ring faces the barrel.

i figured out what was wrong but my next question is can you use a 98 custom barrell on a .68 carbine marker?

Not without a barrel adapter.

A5's use carbine threads, so any A5 barrel will fit on your 68.

ok thanks, i knew the A5 would fit but i didnt know if that meant the 98 as well as the others would work also.

You can use the schematic from the ProCarbine as a guide. The ProCarbine shares the same design of the 68Carbine, but with the elbow replaced by the foregrip/feed assembly of the ProLite.

I also have a problem with my 68 carbine. If I remove the barrel and tilt the gun forward, the striker bolt comes out. I don't know if this is normal please help!

Hahahaha I did the exact same thing and it's all because one piece was backwards :p
