Upgrades- Barrel, Feedneck.

Its a spool valve marker.
It has no kick.
It is damn fast.

Very good gun. Same design as a DM4 and DM5. Only major different is the board. In order to upgrade the board in a DM4/5, you only have to replace the chip. In the proto, you have to replace the whole board so it costs more to upgrade the board.

It is definitely a very fast marker.  GEt a oreo anno job (Silver w/ black eye cover still.)  These guns are as accurate as a DMC but with a new barrel.  Get a new barrel and trigger I say and if you really want to rip then get a new board.

Pros.

very light weight
accurate
fast
easy adjustments(trigger and board settings)
efficiant
NO chopping
NO Kick
comes with Allen key set
stock barrel is decent

Cons.

Garbage feedneck(stock)
allen keys are needed for everythig
Dye Lube does NOT go well with cold temperatures
Under rated~ It is much better than the DM5 with out a doubt.

upgardes- barrel , feedneck , maybe triggr stock one is good enough for me.

In order to get a new bord you have to buy a hole new board or get it flashed , yu cant just buy a new chip like the dm4/5.

It really rips shoots ropes like crazy.

There nice I've shot a couple my only dislike is the stock barrel, feedneck, and gas efficiency. I prefer my borg over it though.

The trigger has a little sideplay but it doesnt matter if you set it right.
The reg is good and so is the anno.

Get an UL, new feed neck, and a new board if you want more than just semi-mode.

Is there anything specific you want to know?  I have a Proto as a backup, I can probably help you out.

Like everyone else said, the first upgrades the gun really needs are a new barrel and feedneck, and a Uni-mount.  The stock trigger is nice, but hard to adjust, just like the DM4's.  The stock board has debounce settings, so you don't need to replace that right away, but I am looking to either Virtue mine, or hold out a little longer and wait for the M7 board.
