I dont have any white castles around me, but I was wondering, how is it? I just saw the movie Harold and Kumar go to white castle last night. Absolutely hilarious, very good movie. |

Furthest one from me is over 50 miles.At the begining of the summer I went, it was decent. Burgers were soggy.

Ive had Krstals at an airport. I have plenty of white castles, and the only difference is the mustard on the Krystals burger. -------------

I can't believe how few people here have actually had White Castle. The burgers are nicknamed Sliders for a reason. They're small, greasy, and go down smooth. :)
White Castle is the first of America's fast food chain restaurants. The first one opened in Wichita, KS, a day trip from here, in 1921. They have some nice print ads on the site. http://www.whitecastle.com - White Castle -------------

thats why at the WC places they sell sacks of 10 and a crave case of 30.mmmmmmmmmmmmm  and may i suggest you thaw them for about 30 minutes before heating them up.

Man, it's been so long since I've had a belly bomb. Probably more years have passed since I've had a belly bomb than some members here have been ALIVE! No White Castles where I am now. No White Castles near where I used to live in NJ. No White Castles near where I went to school either. I miss that place. It's been a long time, but I still crave. Frozen White Castle burgers? Blasphemy! It's like the Eddie Murphy skit: "Betta dan Mac-Donalls?!" No. You can't make something at home, and have it taste the same. My dad was big on White Castle growing up in the 50s. That same White Castle remained on Sunrise Hwy in Lynbrook, NY for a while. I wonder if it's still there? Haven't been to Long Island in awhile. Probably not. Right now... the closest White Castle is 232 miles away.

Their site has a restaurant locator. You can all find out if your old White Castles are still in place. They've left my area entirely.
The last time I had some was on the trip to the Tippmann/World Challenge in '02. It was 1 a.m. and we'd been driving for 10 hours or so. We found a White Castle and had to stop. After a ten sack, fries, and another hour of driving it was around 2 a.m., when we finally arrived, set up our tent and slept on the ground for a little over four hours before spending the day getting shot at. But I wouldn't have it any other way. Incidentally I spent the next night trying to out-chug Guinness with BigAl. hehe Yeah, right. After five or six (I can't remember) I had to pace the parking lot for over two hours to make the world stop spinning long enough to fall asleep. Then I slept on the ground for three hours before getting shot at all day again and driving back home. -------------
