For everyone that thinks that you can put compressed air in a Co2 tank, you can't!! Don't you think that everyone would be doing that by now? No offence, just think a bit more. -------------

Given that a non-modified C02 tank doesn't have a fill nipple, most people have never tried to put HPA in a C02 tank.

Trust me... so many people in my school run around like idiots saying "oh, yeah, i put air in my Co2 tank before, it does work!" and they aren't being sarcastic. One even came up to me and said, Comon, lets go put air in our tanks, when he was carrying his 20 ounce over to the air station. he comes back and says, Oh, i guess you cant cause they didn't let me. -------------

| seeing as how a Co2 tank is pressurized at like 800psi i think (somebody correct me) and HPA tanks are at 3000 and 4500psi.....it would indeed make a boom if you actually got the fill nipple thing sorted out. You can put HPA in a C02 tank., but you only get like 800psi in it. The guy at the proshop did this for me for free, cause all I needed was a few shots to check something and they were out of C02. I swear this on my life. I know that you fill HPA differently, but the idiot at the proshop found someway to fill my C02 tank up. His shop only lasted about a year, so this may be one of the many reasons that he didn't make it. Now why would he do that. Though it was my first time getting a C02 tank filled (this was back quite a few years ago), he told me that it wasn't going to work right at. I see no reason why you could not just fill the tank up to the max psi. The gun only got a few shots out of it, but by the time I was finished shooting the 50-75 shots, the tank was room temp. I dunno, maybe he did lie to me, but I see no reason why. Maybe he filled it with Nitrogen? I dont know, I know almost nothing about HPA. However I do remember seeing a nitro tank with CO2 fill station fittings. |

| it is possible to do i and a freind run a small weekend feild where we have a and air compressor and co2 tank and fill station. My freind had an extra 9 oz and so we took off the co2 fill station and stuck it on the air compressor and ill put it this way: My freind no longer has a 9oz co2 tank |

Actually I don't think so. I'll ask some of my friends with nitro tanks. Also Rossy hpa and compressed air are the same but nitrogen is not. |

I guess I'll correct you, CO2's output pressure is 850 psi, the tank has a bursting pressure around 3000 psi or, at least that's when the disk ruptures, and I think, that HPA tanks have the same output pressure of 850psi, unless you use LP.

Compressed air is 78 percent nitrogen the only reason that people sell "pure" nitrogen is to rip people off. "pure nitrogen" is usually compressed air that has %85 nitrogen as you can guess not much of a difference. |

This is very possible. You could fill your co2 tank up to 1800psi of air. The tank is rated for 1800 because co2 can get to that pressure on a hot day. Co2 tanks become highly unstable above 1800psi, but could most likely take 3k, but this is all what the burst disk is for. I could put compressed air (anything 1psi and up is considered compressed) into an empty co2 tank right now if I wanted to. How? Two remote lines and a few fittings. Filling a co2 tank with an HPA tank would only fill it with what it outputs though. You could fill an HPA tank with co2 too, doesnt matter if its fiber wrapped because theres still an aluminum tank underneath the strong wrap reinforcment. But filling an HPA tank with co2 would be agony for the reg, and the cold would be bad for the wrapping. Not a good idea. But, you should NEVER fill a tank with somthing its not meant for. -------------
