This may seem like common sense. In fact it should be obvious. Despite this, many people need a reminder:

OIL YOUR GUN!!

I forgot to oil my 98 Custom the last time I took it apart. I just got finished dry firing oil through the ASA after drenching the internals (and the body for that nice shiny look) in gun/machine oil.

Two words describe the change in performance: Holy crap.

Super response trigger works again (at speeds so fast they almost make me sick... but not quite ). Trigger glides into place but is still snappy enough to provide a sense of when it will fire. The gun cocks so smoothly and is really quiet if I fire it with no air attached.

So for those of you with unexplained problems - take the whole thing completely apart and oil it. I can't guarantee that it will solve them, but it can't hurt.

Now to paint my right feed elbow (only one of its kind in existence) and shoot paint through it in daylight.

End common sense bulletin.

Okay, I don't have a clever signature zinger. So sue me.

I too overlooked this once, and only that once, it is night and day when you oil it and when you don't.

I never used to oil my gun because I didn't know that you were supposed to and I don't want to open up my gun. Now I do and it makes a huge difference.

I agree, I used to be spitting gas out the side of my gun, it would not recock, and other such problems.  I take it apart, change the orings, and oil everything metal and it works.....EXXEELENT
