Heres my 98 Custom. RT is rocking 18bps, in the video, but I have gotten it to 20bps.

How it looks with the Flatline-

Yes it is shooting that fast, Grunt 98 (WKS_Weiner here) clocked it.

Hitting 18- http://www.putfile.com/media.php?n=1886 - http://www.putfile.com/media.php?n=1886

Would have hit 19 or 20 if I didnt pause.

Yes I like the sight rail so shut up. I also have a Flatline.

I wanna know what all you did to that gun.  I recently bought a rt, so please PM me or post the specs on that gun.

All I did is polish the internals, including a quick run of the rear bolt through a wirebrush to remove the lathe lines. Seriously thats it. Some RTs seem to be faster than others, I think its just the shooter.

Nice.  Now, grab some lp r/t fittings from tippmann if you don't already have them, and throw the stock sear spring back in it.  It truly makes an unbelievable difference.  It will probably require a centerfeed for those mods to work correctly though.  Mine did.

Dont really want to go Super RT, yet. Im just proud of how fast it is stock. Plus Im not sure if my stock Halo B would be able to keep up.

Besides, thats the lame Super RT, only cda and I know the REAL Super RT.

You can call Tippmann and tell them you just got a LPK and have a r/t. They will send you the larger hoses which you install and you have the "super r/t"

I dont know, think its all the shooter and their finger pressure/adjustments while firing.

Super RT- Get LP RT line (larger diameter, more airflow), and put your stock sear spring in. can reach up to 24bps. But the REAL Super RT averages 28bps (using a Q-Loader) but maxes out at 32cps. Only cda and I know it unless you pay the price...

Why would he need a double trigger when he can hit 20 bps with a single trigger?

And what would be the point of getting a new drop?

Right on.    Not sure about 18,  but you easily hit 14.

when i exported the sound clip and hosted it it sound like crap...but while
i was listening to in on my editing program it was 18bps and sounded
great...i got the bps by extracting the video from the audio and just
listening to a second long sound clip of his gun shooting...then i counted
every time the audio spiked when his gun shot...the highest i counted was
18bps, the lowest 14bps....

Double triggers with the RT aren't for shooting any faster. You aren't going to walk it like an electric. Get that out of your head now. Some people like the look or feel of the double trigger. I like the extra control it gives me. I can vary my rate of fire by pulling on different spots on the trigger.

The double trigger has a lighter trigger spring with it. It reduces fatigue and
trigger pull.

Posted By: triggerhappy1
Date Posted: 09 August 2005 at 5:50pm

Most double triggers make you switch out your normal slide spring. This spring (behind the trigger; trips the sear with the slider) has NOTHING to do with pull weight. Its the top tip of the slider that trips it. All that spring inside does is absorb the sear pushing on it when you hold down the trigger. This is why you dont need the return spring to reset the trigger. If it were the return spring that were lighter, only the initial pull would be slightly lighter, but still be a heavy pull because of the strong sear spring. Nothing can reduce weight and length except a trigger stop, and modified or new sear spring.

Double triggers on non electronic Tippmanns do nothing but give you the feel.
