I just got my 98C and I was wondering what are the first things I have to do before playing with it? Also I compared my gun to my friends and I have this weird remote kind of thing on the right side of the gun... is this normal? And why did my gun come with an R/T kit Installation Instructions when I didnt order R/T?

I wouldent complain, RT is sweet if you tweak it properly their is no use for a dubble trigger or anything. But the first things you'll need is a Barrel, Hopper, HPA and a good mask/clothing and I find knee pads are a must, Right now I have my knee raped in guaze because I slid on them too much and they were shot...It sucks.

My gun cost 131.00$ US. No I didnt order r/t but it seems to have come with it?(im not complaining just wondering) And why would they give me a responsive trigger kit installation instructions? Whats a sure way to know without disembaling it? And how do you "tweak" the r/t

Cock the marker, screw in
the tank, and then apply pressure to the trigger, from there you should
know, either that or the RT line running across the right side of your
marker.

Sweet, Well I just tweaked mine and its sweet. Allright you should of got a baggie with tools and such, Amongst those tools you should have a julers screw driver, Follow the line on the right side of the gun untill it gets to the Butt of the gun, You will see a silver thing that sticks out and the tube goes into the gun, on the silver thing their is like a screw and you should screw it in all the way, pull the trigger and you will notice the piston will not let you pull again (Its funny to do it to a freind and he gets on field and can only shoot once =P) and then unscrew it slowly, like a half turn untill you can hit the sweet spot nicely (Pull the trigger untill it bounces off your finger and the piston behind the trigger) and once you get to where you like it, tweak it with quarter turns and so fourth. You need a pretty good amount of CO2 or Air to do so. I hope this helps.

Thanks man, Oh yeah and I DO have r/t , on the box it says w/responsive trigger. Im so Happy im crying I got a free R/T!!!! Thanks for the tuning tips. I know R/T is good and you can shoot faster with it... But what EXACTLY does it do?
|

It uses extra gas to bounce the trigger back faster giving the gun a fully automatic feel though is illegal in most tournaments. (good somewhat professional description huh)

When adjusted per the instructions it is a fully automatic-only trigger and illegal on some fields and in most tournaments.

Play with it stock a few months until thinking about buying any upgrades. It seems one upgrade is a must for you since you have a r/t though, a new hopper. Your gravity fed hopper will not be able to keep up with the r/t. You need an electric one. I suggest getting a VL Revolution, it should keep up. Other then that, just go out and have fun with it.

My revvy is fast enough for me. I don't need to shoot 18 bps, 13 is enough for me. It depends on how fast you want to shoot, when deciding what hopper to get.

Thanks guys, so the only way to know if its legal is to ask a ref or to
call the place? ANd what hopper should I get ?(that will feed fast
enough).
My friends all told me that en a new hopper is a must seen as I have r/t. What hopper do u guys use?

I use a 12v revvy for my r/t. It will feed about 14 bps. If you wanted to go up to about 19 bps, you would probably need to get an eggy2 or a rico apache.

Yes, all fields have different rules (mostly dependant upon their insurance policy).
As for hoppers, I suggest you buy one as soon as funds allow it. I really like my empire reloader, but I fear that it might not keep up with a properly tuned R/T. If you have the money look for a evolution II or a HALO B.
And just as some clearification. The R/T uses EXHAUST gas from your gun that is wasted anyway. The gun takes that air up to the cylinder behind the trigger. The gas forces the trigger back to the "reset" position. Since it is forced back, you can get it to bounce off of your finger making you shoot full auto.

OK thanks guys, and can you shoot semi-auto (if you want) with r/t?
So far you guys suggested: Rico Apache, Eggy2, Revy 12v, Evolution II
and Halo B. Which is the best price/quality of the ones you guys
suggested. Thanks again

I believe it was your post that said it used "extra" gas. While this gets the idea across, it is not entirely accurate.

Yes, you can still shoot semi-auto with the r/t, you just need to unsweet spot it.
First of all, the Evolution 2 and Eggy2 are the exact same thing.
The lowest hopper you can get is the 12v revvy, also called the 12v revolution. You can find them online for about $20-40. You can usually get them cheap on ebay. The revvy isn't a force fed hopper, so the fastest it will ever feed is 13.33333 bps. You can't change physics.
The Eggy II and the Ricochet Apache are the next level up. The egg costs about $70 and is semi-force fed. The feed rate is up to 19 bps. You can buy another board for the egg called the Z-Board that will make it a true force fed hopper and the rate of fire up to 23 bps.
The apache costs about the same as the eggy. It feeds 17-19 bps.
The highest level is the Halo B. It costs about $105 and will feed 22+ bps. There are many upgrades and boards to the Halo B that you can buy. One is the Victory Board that will allow you to shoot up to 35 bps.
Hope any of this helped. Now the only thing left to do is to decide what hopper you want.

Get a 12v revvy...if you feel the need to get a hopper now.
Other than that go out and play. You'll figure out what else you need as you play. If you buy a bunch of upgrades for your gun before you play, you may be waisting money.
Good luck out there.
