Subject: WAS board or E-grip?

My cousin has a stock A-5 and was wondering what he should get for speedball. A WAS board with JCS duel trigger or E-grip with duel trigger. Which one would be faster say walking the trigger on semi mode? what modes does the WAS board have. And also what would be a good speedball barrel for my B2k4? thanks.

I always thought that the WAS board was a new board you put in the e-grip

you need an e-grip to get a WAS board... and the JCS trigger will him shoot faster when walking the trigger.

Keep in mind, you need the E-Grip installed first in order for these to work.

For the barrel, Dye UL is probably your best bet.  Get a .691.

Oh i see, my bad i knew that . So for the speedball barrel maybe a Dye Ul or a boomstick? and also howcome you can't use a remote line and an anti-siphoned(sp) C02 at the same time?

The WAS board is pretty much a huge waste of money for an A-5. You would have to take off the cyclone and buy a hopper that can keep up with it, which is a Halo B or a Q-loader. Just buy the e-grip with JCS dual trigger. Your cousin should be very happy with it.

alright.....but the question remains, why can't you use an anti-siphoned c02 with a remote line?

Well if you told him, he is probably right. Why don't you just ask him why you can't use both of them together?

I say since the e-grip is more unversally available and fast enough get that.  The JCS trig is a must though.  The WAS is faster and capable of more speed but you cant go above 15 bps in a tourney anyways and the egrip can do that.

Sure, PM it too me.

It depends on your position.

Front:8"-10"

Mid:10"-12"

Back:12"-14"

I think a 16" would be too long.

If you can get one for that price, buy it and sell it on ebay. Or you can use it if you want. Sixteen inches is pushing it though.

yea. i would have to go with 14 maximum. you might be able to get away with a 16 but i wouldnt buy it

But you could make a fortune off it on ebay if you didn't want to use it!

TippmannPro13: Maybe this will clear up some confusion. I pic always helps.

rossy, i don't think thats right. the picture you drew shows a siphon tank. not a anti-siphon tank. you can run a remote off the anti siphone tank, you just have to make sure that the tank is running hoziziltally, same if you do not have a remote. your picture is showing the straw sucking the liquid Co2. thats not what you want.

you want the tank on its side and then the part of the stray which bends up, much be facing up in order to work right. you want to be sucking the gas not the liquid, and since te gas it lighter than the liquid it will rise to the side of the tank which is facing up. i don't know why it matters that the tank must be on its side. but thats the way it was explained to me on the A5OG by about 30 different people.

rossy, were you trying to show a siphone tank? just making sure that we all know how this is suppsed to be.

My picture is of an anti-siphon tank. I know it is supposed to be horrizontal so it sucks up the gas. This pic is of a tank with a remote on it also. That means the tank will be vertical in your  harness, and all the liquid co2 goes to the bottom. The anti-siphon then sucks liquid. I was explaining why you can't use both and anti-siphon and remote at the same time.

Then it should work fine. It would be a little akward with a horizontal co2 tank on a harness though.

It would be the new thing to brag about though, go to the field ooo yea, thats right guys, i got me a custom harness, you just dont even know how much money it tooke for me to get this, and you just got like a bunch of 9 oz tanks and you put thos in the pod holders, that would be funny.  Now that i confused everyone ill go back to my own lil world.
