gas will start to go down, there is no gas shortage now, in fact there is a surplus. and its the fact that a person can buy those kinds of cars not the gas. they are pleasure cars or or utility cars for well off people.

Ever hear of of Multi-displacement system (MDS), it automatically shuts down 4 cylinders when full power isnt needed. So technically I can get 25 MPG and still blow the doors off your hybrid econocar.
So yea, you suck.

Did I say I drive an import ya tosser? As a matter of fact I own a 99 Gran Marqui, Ford Ranger and a motorcycle that will eat your oversized gas guzzler any day of the week for a snack.
I just dont see the price of gas going down. Each time I goto the pump it's a few pennies more.
Yeah I know we have a better economy and have a higher demand for gas and that's why we dont pay so much for our gas like the europeans. But if the current trend continues we will see 5 bucks a gallon which sucks.
I see so many people that buy Hummers and Hemi's or some other bahemith vehicle and driving 10 under the damn speed limit yakin on there cell phones all the time. Just park it!
Mind you I like the idea of finally putting a Hemi in a car again (where it belongs) but trucks arent made to be race cars! bah! Sorry I'm an old timer that like good old hot rods, not these new dumb trucks with over sized motors.
I like the new GTO, Mustang's and the new Charger. I would own one of those anyday and make it my sunday driver.

360 is a 5.9, Im swapping a 360 into my 318(5.2) GC and thinking about stroking it down the road. If its done corectly a Stroked 360 (408/6.7) can get 18 mpg easily.

hemispherical engine is for more power (torque). When you increase your torque, then your brake horsepower has to go up too. Hence more power. he really doesnt know much about cars.

No pics yet. I dont have it yet, I have to wait untill a friend I know with a pickup can go with me to haul it to my house.
It seems to be in good condition. 2 cycle motor, seems to be an auto shifter, seeing as I know nothing about mopeds and if there is a gear shift....I cant find it. The back tire is blown, and some of the wiring is rotted out. Other than that it seems to be in good condition for being 50 some odd years old. Cosmeticly there is just some rust, no dents or anything.

Someone besides me actually pays attention to goings on of the world.
Also consider this. With the rate of inflation as it is the US
doller is loosing value . . . quickly where as the Euro is gaining
value and strengthening their economies working together. The
euro is wrth more than the us doller and has been from the start.
The US has such a wide array of societal issues that could be
addressed. If you think we have a high literacy rate you're
whacked. look at Japan . . . dear god. Try 3/4 of Americans
being literate.
For another example Europeans don't have "drinking ages" like the
US. The results are kids who do not abuse alcohol because they
haev already drank it in moderation and don't find it to be such a big
deal when they become adult.
Cars are not cool. ME has an e-bike . . . And we are thinking about putting solar pannels in to heat and power our house.

As for crime, I would take this info with a grain of salt, as Interpol does not release crime statistics to the public. I also question the designation of certain countries as "major". I don't think the rest of Europe would approve.
That said, I was unable to find any decisive crime stats myself, so I withdraw this point.
BUT - I reiterate my underlying point: That any claim that the US is universally "better" than other developed nations is flawed. The US has significant warts. Simply declaring ourselves "the best" is not a useful exercise. Admitting our faults is the first step towards fixing them. How can our infant mortality rate, for instance, possibly be acceptable? We claim to have the best health care system in the world, but our babies die at almost 150% of the rate of Spanish babies. This cannot stand.

I can see why some people buys these big ol Dodges. Dont get me wrong I
would love to own one but for 1, I cannot afford another payment, 2 my
drive to work is pretty long and 3 I dont need to haul anything. So yes
I agree some people do need a powerfull truck.
But come on pple, dont you see a trend? Just like what happened to the
real Harley riders that all these rich urban bikers (rubs) hit the
scene and make a mokery of the tradition of owning a real American made
piece of machinery. Same thing, you used to see mainly blue collar guys
driving around trucks and the old ram chargers and suburbans,
whatever... now ya see mainly soccer moms and yuppy 20 year olds buying
these things.
I dont know.... I'm just sick of seeing them I guess. Whatever happened
to the Buick V6? That Gran National was sweet back in the 80's. Why
wasnt that ever improved? Heck the japs have v6's and some fours
hitting the 300hp mark. 300hp in a 1800 pound (with some work) man I
bet that darn thing screams and gets much better gas milage than
anything I own, except for the bike.

Here are Interpol 2001 crime statistics (rate per 100,000):
- 4161 - US
- 7736 - Germany
- 6941 - France
- 9927 - England and Wales
Thus the US has a substantially lower crime rate than the major European countries!
|
As for crime, I would take this info with a grain of salt, as
Interpol does not release crime statistics to the public. I also
question the designation of certain countries as "major". I don't
think the rest of Europe would approve.
That said, I was unable to find any decisive crime stats myself, so I withdraw this point.
BUT - I reiterate my underlying point: That any claim that the
US is universally "better" than other developed nations is
flawed. The US has significant warts. Simply declaring
ourselves "the best" is not a useful exercise. Admitting our
faults is the first step towards fixing them. How can our infant
mortality rate, for instance, possibly be acceptable? We claim to
have the best health care system in the world, but our babies die at
almost 150% of the rate of Spanish babies. This cannot stand. |
I love how you put Abortion with all those other "bad" things, when supposedly nothing is being harmed...

Huh? Says who?
Most people - including most pro-choicers - think abortions are bad. I certainly think abortions are bad.

| That is the stupidest thing I have ever read. So you're saying
that even though a "Rich Urban Biker" may enjoy riding motorcycles they
shouldn't just because they arent a "Real Harley rider"? I would
imagine if you ride a Harley than you are a real Harley rider.

But you won't get that patented Harley chug-chug, and you will get beaten up if you ever come to Wisconsin.
