Okay, i recently purchased a Phantom. So far i love it.....light, and low profile. I'm captain of my speedball team and i really need a new speedball gun. I pretty much want an "electro phantom" not litterally. I want a single tube gun that's light and electro that won't break down very much. But there are some guns i just refuse to buy. I will not buy an ion. They are great guns and all, but they are so common, it's ridiculus and i'm tired of seeing them in forums. I don't really like any smart parts guns. ROF really isn't a big problem as long as it will shoot 16+. I really want an X-Mag, but prices are very high and all of them are used since they don't make them any more. I think i'll just wait till 2006 to come around and look at the new markers, but i don't think i can wait that long. How about an electric spider, or a blackmagic? Even though the ion is common, it is worth getting. Are you will to sacrifice potential, just because it is common? and the price is right. |

the e-bolt doesn't work in an A-5. Get an E-mag. Sure, you can only buy them used, but there is still incrediable tech support for them. E-mags are the same single tube design has a phantom. They're light, fast, and dont chop. (level 10) And, used ULE e-mags on only 500$ now. |

thanks for the replies. I think i'll look into an E-Mag. I already have an Outkast, but it needs repairs and i sold my A-5 to get my phantom lol. The ions are awesome guns, don't get me wrong, but a bunch of people on my team have them and i'm also considering resale value. The ions don't have good resale at all. I was looking into an angel Speed 05, but i'm afraid i would waste too much paint. Also, i'm not a spyder hater but keep in mind, it's a blowback. Thanks for the replies! ------------- X |

if you're talking about getting into tournament ball and not just
speedball ... don't worry about paint consumption. trust
me. the perks of the high end guns are well worth it.
another gun to look into would be a matrix. they are a single
tube, but a big tube. they're a bit large compared to other high
ends but they are also cheap. if you do look into a trix look for
upped bolt kits and boards (tadao is nice). speeds are nice too... although i'm not a big fan of angels myself, i've seen some rip, but i've also seen a fair amount of them never work. shockers are also a nice gun to look into if you're looking for the single tube design. they're light, fast, and with the right mods pretty effecient. honestly... if you want the phantom feel... go with a shocker. emags are nice, don't get me wrong, but i find em a bit heavy and the battery pack is just akward... at least for me. but for the price... i'd say there are better options out there |

well its funny but most speedball teams aint gonna be shooting ions, if
you want a fast light gun its shocker no exceptioons or a defiant i play snake with a storm and its a little heavy for me so im looking into a ego it all depends on the level of ur speedball team if you all have ions chances are your not a psp or nppl team(not trying to sound better then anyone else because im not psp or nppl) but id look into shocker or defiant no doubt ------------- A-5 Respone Triiger 16 inch jj pro barrel Working on dropforward |

well, if i was in psp/nppl i wouldn't really have to be asking people on a forum lol. ions are good enough for the nppl but it just wouldn't look right to see ollie lang or sumone with a $300 gun..... so i understand your point. I'm really not sure what i want. Shockers are very nice but they're fairly common too, and i've seen them get made fun of alot, so idk. I think i'll just get an E2 on my 'kast. ------------- X |
