I have only played pb once in my life and that was months ago. I was hooked though. I'm now in the financial position to purchase a gun.

I am thinking of the A5 Stealth system. Is this a good choice? Seems like an awesome package to me. My buddies and I like to go to the field, but also like the woods.

Thanks

I wouldn't suggest getting that package. I would buy the A-5 and play with it stock for a few months before upgrading. That way you won't have an upgrade that is worthless. You aren't going to want a flatline if you like to play up front.

It looks like a good setup for what you want. You may decide to ditch the stock, but some people like them. I agree with the previous poster that new players start out with an unupgraded gun, but you can do what you want.

good luck, and have a nice day.

I was also looking strongly at this setup.

I highly recommend you play some games with a stock A-5 before you buy any upgrades.

Just play with the stock A-5 and then go from there with ups.

Good choice.

When you get it, your accuacy will probably be pretty funky. Thus, I recommend  you buy a barrel as your first upgrade. (You can even sneak one in when you buy the gun)

The concensus around here for cheap, good, barrels is either a J&J Ceramic, or Lapco Bigshot. Never go over 14 inches, whatever you buy.

12-14" is a good choice for any barrel.

All the postings have great advise, myself I have the stock A-5 and where we play there are alot of platers with the assault kits and many upgrades, and I'm keeping up just fine. you need to upgrade your marker to your individual likings. I also have a 98 custom with to many upgrades to mention. Good luck

Play speedball and woodsball, and see which you like better. Because I bought all of these woodsball upgrades, and now I'm hooked on speedball, and now I'm stuck with woodsball upgrades. So play around and see which type of paintball you like. Also, Welcome to the Forums!

Well I actually went with the 98 pro and a j&j barrel. My next upgrade will be to an N2 tank and remote. What else would I need to do this?

Nothing, provided your tank is high output.

since you got a 98c i would recommend gettin a electric hopper. hte remote is good for woods but if you want to play speed i would recommend just gettin a drop forward.

I recomend the 14" Dye Boomstick, I just got one and I am obsessed with it.  The JJ ceramics are ok, but after awhile they lose their touch.

I plan to be a woodsball player so I got a good deal on a used A5 and an old Scorpion that I'm going to try and modify on my own.  I always use my weapons/markers with the factory settings before playing with any of it.
