Hey all, seeing I know jack about car audio I'm hear to ask for advice. The deck I have is a 45w panasonic. (Lemme know if you need more details). My truck has 4 places for speakers. What I need to know on those is the watt, brand etc I should use. I also want to put a 12" sub behind my bench seat. I'm pretty tight for space, the whole seat (where you back rests on) Goes forward on a hinge. I have seen tube subs and special boxes. I'm guessing I will need a amp seeing my deck is only 40 watts. Now I don't need anything super loud or with alot of watts seeing It's a small cab.

Help needed,thanks.

You probably shouldn't really need a sub, just some component speakers and tweeters. However, I'm no expert on the subject.

is the deck 45 watt per speaker or 45 to split between them all.....
for your subwoofer problem id recomend a sas bazooka tube very compact (its a tube not a box) they sound awsome and very punchy
if you dont need anything that expensive just go to walmart and pick up some pioneer speakers and amp from there  as well i acctually have two pioneer 6 by 9s in my rear deck  might i reccomend getting a cd player in the near future thoughg...

I'm not gonna go to wal-mart to shop for car audio. I want to spend a good amount for quality.

If you want to spend some money all you need is a Phonix Gold or Zeus Amp with just 1 Juggernaut 12 or 15 if you can fit it.....That combo will blow the doors off almost anything.

Wal-mart also carries Sony electronics.  Don't be stupid, Pioneer is a really good name for car audio.  A pioneer deck would be way better than your deck.  I understand where you are coming from, but before you write off products you have to look at the brand.  Wal-mart carries many of the same CD's as Best Buy, but they are cheaper...  I'm not saying for you to buy everything from Wal-mart, because you won't be able to.  Go with the peoneer speakers, but I'm not sure what to tell you about getting custom boxes for a sub.  Find a local car audio shop and if nothing else get information there.

Wal-Mart doesn't seen explicit language CD's but yet they sell guns. Their pretty stupid. I try not to shop there as much as I can. Maybe once a year and that's do the fact when I visit relatives and that's the only thing they have close.

Infinity Componant Speakers all around.
Bazooka tube or a Box made to fit the back of your truck, they have boxes designed to fit behind the benchseat.
If your only going with one sub, then you should get a 2 channel or a mono channel amp.

As for brands, I would go with Infinity speakers, a MTX, Kicker, Infinity Referance or Audiobahn sub. Then for amps, ether an Infinity, Audiobahn or Alpine amp.

www.crutchfield.com is a great site for car audio/video.
