Just went paintballing for the first time. It was awsome even though I got owned.

I was wondering if any company makes a face mask or goggles that are designed with the visualy impared in mind?

I can wear my glasses with the mask I have now but it is not very good feeling. The mask pushes my glasses on to my sweaty face causing them to smear which severly limits my view.

It would be awsome if the lenses on the goggles where like prescription. Then you wouldn't have to wear glasses when paintballing.

Just get contacts .. contacts > glasses..

But I have heard V-force masks fit well with glasses on (I have never tried myself though)

I used to have contacts. I had to stop wearing them because my prescription changed and now I can't see anything up close when I have them in. Man I miss 'em...

Some people, *cough* me, cannot wear contacts because of how jacked up our eyes are. So, I wear glasses.

I use a Profiler. Comfy, roomy, no problems.

I used to have glasses, and I wouldn't wear them when I paintballed. Now I have contacts and they rock!

DONT buy a mask from some kid that thinks he can make one... its just not safe...

anyway. the V force are masive goggles...i think i can fit my invision on under them.... so they should have enough room for glasses.

few things that can help. if u live in the sticks go to a rich city to get your eyes checked. i know with other things the docs out in the sticks dont keep up with stuff.

another thing is get some super thin glasses with a small frame. these can be done even with masive glasses. i dont know much about this stuff but my girlfriend works for an eye doctor. post ur prescription strength and il ask her if she knows of any options.

patent pending. my friend and this other guys dad got together and invented it, so they're trying to get it patented.

There are a couple of ways to deal with eyeglasses and paintball masks. First: JT actually makes an insert that fits into the holes below the viser and hangs down between your eyes and the lens of the goggles. Prescription lenses are fitted into the insert that looks like a pair of glasse without temples. With these your corrective lenses are hooked on the the goggles and you don't have to wear your glasses at all. It seems like an expensive fix though because you need to have lenses made that fit into the insert. Second: get goggles from a manufacturer that offers a fan that will keep you goggles clear. Thermal lenses on the goggles are not enough, they will keep the goggle lenses from fogging up but your glasses will still fog. JT,Dye, Proto and Extreme Rage all offer fans for their products. I used to wear glasses that were pretty large and I had JT Spectra thermal goggles with a fan and I never had a problem with fogging no matter how hot and humid it got. If you can find a pair of goggles from one of these compainies that feels good get a fan and you won't be sorry. I thought the JTs worked well with my glasses. The Dyes were kind of tight even with my new smaller glasses. I never had a chance to try the Proto or Extreme Rage. I hope this helps.

No need to point out the perfectly obvious, the merely obvious will do.

V-force makes awesome masks that fit glasses. I wear glasses and I have used both the v-force shield and the v-force profiler and man they both work amazingly and are so comfortable with glasses on.

Are there any masks that are specifically designed to accommodate glasses?

The way I’m reading the posts is that masks like the V-Force just happen to be roomy enough to make ‘em fit, which works for me.

I saw the JT inserts but I don’t want to get them, and then have to spend a ton of money if my prescription changes again.

One of the problems with prescription goggles, like the ones for scuba, for example, are that they are so huge, so curved and at such an odd shape that they give the wearer a “fishbowl” view of the world.

Jt Proteus, Dye invision, will both occomodate glasses pretty well.

If you have small glasses. (You don't really need to wear a windshield on your face, you know.)

I would suggest either the proteus or jt flex 7 or 8.

Use alot of anti fog spray (5-10 layers) Spray wait (30 sec) wipe-repeat. Also get a fan. I have a proteus cameleon and I don't fog very much at all (and I sweat ALOT).

This is what I mean by windshield...
