Hello, First time poster here, searched for pro-lite power tube removal instructions and couldn't find em. Can anyone help. I got everything else but cannot for the life of me see how to remove the power tube. MAN am I glad I got an A-5 after having to work on this F-ing craptastic pro-lite that hasn't seen maintenance in the past decade I'm guessing. Ok, ok not decade but probably years. Any one that can help I'll make you my hero for the day. ~Jason |

"everything else" is: front bolt, rear bolt, spring, seal, trigger
assembly, linkage arm, barrel, forestock. Basically everything
that could come out has aside from the power tube. ~Jason |

Red Top... I wish I could remember which way to "push" it. I honestly cannot recall whether it comes out of the front or back... I want to say the back.
I used a wooden dowel. Darn thing didn't want to come out, but with a few "gentle" thumps of a rubber mallet on the wood dowel... it finally came free. It's been a few years since I last took it apart, so I can't remember exactly. If I knew what box my ProLites were packed in, I'd whip em out and check. But they're buried in the basement somewhere. I take it you've already removed the valve too? Valve will have to come out before removing the power tube. Someone will come on knowing what to do... sorry I couldn't be of more help. It's been too long... |

after closer inspection i realize that the valve is still in there as well. How the heck does that come out as well???? Grr.... this thing is so rusted and stiff it's ridiculus. My friend is gonna get punched in the arm for making me work on this hunk of poo. the valve stop has been removed. I'm really stuck here. Any help would be appreciated. ~Jason |

did you remove the airline? After the airline is removed the whole assembly will push right out the back. The valve is inside the powertube. You will be able to remove it once you remove the powtube. ------------- http://www.anomationanodizing.com - My Site

by "remove the airline?" you mean the gun valve fitting and the gas
line nut right? and the answer is yes anyway. mine doesn't push
backwards. it feels like i'm pushing against a spring and then it
just stops moving. I've tried gently tapping it to get it to move
but no luck. and before you say something about it yes I've removed the valve stop. ANYTHING???? c'mon guys i'm really stuck as to y this thing isn't coming apart. ~Jason |

Hello! I am from Germany and a first time poster. While I was looking for a solution of my pro/am problem I found this posting. I `ve got the same prob like redtop! I am sure that I didn`t forget to stripp off a single part but the power tube just moves maybe half an inch foreward and the same backward. Then it stopps with a klick.It sounds like it runs against something... Who can help me?

The VAS should be removed also. Then push the valve and powertube out the back of the marker. -------------

The VAS is one of the missing parts It wasn`t in there from the day I bought the marker!So that is not the problem. But someone tried before to get out the tube.It looks damaged from both sides! ~Stefan ------------- - Viel Feind,viel Ehr` - |

| Did you remove the front velocity adjusting screw? It screws into the power tube. Go to the local hardware store and buy 14 inches of 1/2 inch CPVC pipe (the cream colored pipe). Remove your barrel and front bolt and use the CPVC tubing to push out the power tube and valve through the rear end of the receiver. The valve does not sit inside the power tube but behind it. The CPVC pipe will slip over the nose cone on the power tube and push on the base of the power tube preventing damage to the cone portion. Keep the pipe in your tool box for future use. |

I got my tube out!! This is the answer from Tippmann: THE POWER TUBE SLIDES OUT THE BACK END OF THE RECEIVER. GO THROUGH THE FRONT OF THE RECEIVER WITH SOMETHING LONG AND SKINNY. SLIDE IT THRU THE FRONT OF THE POWER TUBE TOUCHING THE CROSS PIN ON THE POWER TUBE. PUSH IT OUT THE BACK OF THE RECEIVER ~Stefan ------------- - Viel Feind,viel Ehr` - |
