Hey guys, I just wanted to ask you guys to give all your prayers to the people that have been hit by katrina, especially those in New Orleans. I also bet that you guys know people that live there and i hope that all are well. I sit here and watch the news, and the flooding is just unbelievable, along with all the houses that are leveled.

| Katrina kicked my ass a couple of times. That wicked blade fan thing of hers is lethal. I was finally able to beat her with Subzero though. Anyways, good luck with that. |

Why should we pray? God caused the hurricane to hit in the first place. Obviously he used Katrina to punish the drunkeness and sin of New Orleans, and the gambling of Biloxi. And also, storms are concidered acts of god. So, if god did this because he wanted to, or if there was something about Louisianna that really rubbed him the wrong way. If you are taking the god route. This is an act of god, and praying about it, would be to second guess god, wich is blasphemy. Im really sick and tired of this era of "Feel good" christianity. Been prayin for those folks all day. DBi, you need to read your Bible a little more. Agnostic believes in some form of God, just not sure what. Athiest doesn't believe that there is a God. You see the difference? Oh, and anyone in here that isn't an idiot, please pray for those folks down there, they really need it. -------------

Right and wrong. He does have a plan. However, God is not apathetic. He cares very much about how you feel. You've been reading the Bible all your life? You need to read your bible a bit more carefully then. Revelation doesn't always come with time, it also comes with the openess to see, and hear. Remember scriptures that state "He who has an ear let him hear." (there are many) You must develope the "ear" to listen to and understand the Word. You will also develope the ability to listen-to and hear the voice of God (usually spoken through His word). -------------

Isnt it all possible that this storm is a result of a sort of "free
will" of nature. Sort of like the free will humans have to bust a cap
in each other? God still lets that happen, so why not this?

FYI, I do have a home church. That should be enough info for you. You all must realize that I don't think that the Bible was written by men. I believe that God used the hands of man to record the Bible, thus inabling it to be an infallible thing. NO ONE HAS TO BELIEVE ME. I really don't care if you do. Dbi, are you up for a test? You claim to have great knowledge...but me thinks that you could float given the amount of hot air you are full of. Here are a few tests related to our religion. Why did the flood happen (Noahs flood)? Who was Semjaza? What was the name of the angel that revealed sheol to Enoch? Why were Sodom and Gamorra destroyed? Is there a "special place in hell" for child molesters? What did Jesus preach about forgiveness? What did Jesus preach about the Law? What did the Apostle Peter see while resting on the rooftop? What will happen after the rapture? Who goes to heaven first? Not all of these answers can be found in the Bible, so I am also testing your claimed knowledge in "lore". What book outside of the Bible does the apostle Jude quote? What does Mark 16:17-18 mean? What does it exhibit? Finally what "sign" shall be given to this generation. If, you are as experienced as you say you are, you should be able to answer all of these questions correctly. Have fun -------------

You're both tools. This wasn't supposed to be a who's right about God debate it was a simple request to take notice of what going on down there. The number one problem with these forums is that no-one knows who's on them half the time. I have family friends down in new orleans and you monkeys are debating God and what he does. Did you ever think that it might have just happened and that you're only being asked to be conserned about it? If you do know what's going on but aren't that worried then get a life and find somewhere else to talk about God and his ways. |
