12v revvy's are good.

Evolution II. (probably don't need anything that fast tho')

I use a richochett ak on my 98, and it works really well.

Looks like the revvy has the best price also. I have seen them on ebay for pretty cheap !

If you plan on shooting over about 12 bps then get a faster hopper like the Evo 2.

Yeah go with that. Make sure you get a 12v revvy with an x-board. they run about 60-70 bucks.

dont listen to them! instead of spending 60-70 bucks why not just by a Cyclone? much better investment IMO

^^^Because when you switch to a new gun you can't use it.

Not really. You can buy a 12v revvy on ebay for about $25. That is about half the price of the cyclone. If you wanted something that would feed as fast as the cyclone, you would get the eggy.

i got my revvy w/ xboard for 30 including shipping off actionvillage, but i'm pretty sure they're sold out by now.

Get an Egg. It'll work just fine on the 98, and if you ever think about getting something faster, you'll already have the loader

Hopper discussions can end now for the 98C... no one needs to buy e-hoppers anymore... no more dead batteries... too many of them are cheap junk!  Install the GTA Cyclone upgrade now!  Add a black Ricochet R5 (smoked ones crack to easy) for $15.00 and you are set with the best!

Cheap junk? Have you ever used an electric hopper? I think suzikirider already explained why not to get the cyclone.

do what Xspyderman said or just buy a halo B so youll never have to buy another hopper in your life unless you break it

^buying a halo b for a 98c with r/t is just stupid. he plays all woods/scenario, and will probably never upgrade. a revvy is fine, or an egg at the most.

Cyclone!

Posted By: butzmcweenie
Date Posted: 03 September 2005 at 7:19pm

because i play woods/scenario too, i would say cyclone because playing woodsball you don't need to shoot more than 15-16 bps, and for scenario you can get a http://shopping.netsuite.com/s.nl/c.322764/sc.14/category.34/it.A/id.2449/.f - tac-cap  for $9.95.

and that was my 2 cents.

^Yep, capping the Cyclone is one of those nice little perks, that just so happens no other hopper is capable of!

that taccap is cool, and worth the cash but I just made my own cap out of the top of a pod

i personally love having a gun that doesn't require batteries, and to me Tippmann has made a very nice move offering the M98C Cyclone...I even heard it will have the quick-release elbow! So it is even a new and improved Cyclone, easier to clean your barrel/hopper breaks.

To me, the RT+Cyclone combo is the best way to get some reliable firepower for cheap.

a Qloader requires no batteries, and it is fast. Faster than a halo B.

^How much does that cost? How many rounds does it hold? Can it be capped off like the Cyclone?

Posted By: bronco9588

its completely innovative (check out Q-loader for cost):

the tubes are the hopper, they have an internal spring that drives the paintballs. It woks like a warp feed, allowing the system to be mounted below the ball latch. The tubes themselves are about a 140 size, and they carry 100. It takes some time to refill the tubes, before the game, but no time to switch the tubes. Gets about 31.5 bps, and i have seen a video. It is more mil-sim, where it has the same functionality as a clip. Kinda expensice though.

But what is your point? I never said the Cyclone was the only force-feed hopper that doesn't require batteries, I just said it is the only one that can be capped!

I guess I just don't get why you quoted me and posted what you did.

paintball382, capping the Cyclone is just that, you take off the actual empty hopper shell, and cap the actual Cyclone with a pod top or something and your Cyclone will hold about 25-30 rounds and be EXTREMELY compact.

For those people or times when you don't need a bunch of ammo. I use it like that a lot.

Q-Loader costs $80 for the system & 2 pods. You can get a 5 pod system for $125 or $150, I think. Additional pods are $20 and they also have additional mounting hardware for another $35. The additional mounting hardware comes with parts to attach the Q-loader to your ASA, if you are running a remote line. I just got mine yesterday, but haven't decided how I'm gonna hook it up yet. I'm debating on straight back off the feed neck or under the barrel like a M203 look.
