It's people like Fonda that make those of us with valid points about
the war look like idiots....I just hope she doesn't go hang out with
some insurgents and help build an IED or somethin like she did in
Nam.....She should have been beaten for that...

Valid points about the war? I didn't think there was many
left. Coming from a vet, I'm just ETS'ing and getting outta
town. Incentives are good but getting out sends a strong message
to the administration.
Watch "Buffalo Soldiers" with Juacquin Phoenix and you'll see what the post-OIF military will look like.

Basically, the only point left on the war, in my opinion, is the fact that we never should have went.

Hanoi Jane is a frickin idiot. When I learned what she did during the Vietnam war, (right after reading an article about a vet spitting in her face at a book signing) I felt like spitting myself.
It's amazing to think that you can be that stupid, and do the sort of things she did, and then never apologize for her actions, but on the contrary, continued to support them.

At least someone from the anti-war side will admit one of the one's on the forefront is a moron.

Are you serious? Look at his post.
He's saying he "doesn't" like Jane Fonda because she makes some of the anti-war supporters who have actual points seem stupid.
Don't worry, theres some of those on both sides of the argument.

Man, if I were you I would just chill on the political threads for a few days..... or weeks.....
I'm one of the few people here who still somewhat respect you, and I'm starting to lose that.
So what if someone called you a silver spooner? Are we in Kindergarden?

Eh, i dont really care what jane fonda did way back when, everyone does silly stuff when they are young. I just dont like her as a person, and an actor. Shes horrid as an actress. She grew up a sheltered daughter of a mother and father hollywood pair. Then she was a sheltered change the world with your money type of person. Its annoying.
And the silver spoon bit, its kinda like saying. George Bush cant talk without messing up words, with me sitting right next to him. You cant say one thing about one person, then idolize someone else for the same thing. Some of the holywood people, are just idiots. Jane Fonda, the baldwin brothers, Tom Cruise. I bet the smartest of the bunch are people like Morgan Freeman and people like that.

Fonda, whose memoir "Jane Fonda: My Life So Far" comes out next week,
said she did not regret meeting with American prisoners of war in North
Vietnam or making broadcasts on Radio Hanoi. "Our government was lying
to us and men were dying because of it, and I felt I had to do anything
that I could to expose the lies and help end the war," she said.
Also on "60 Minutes," Fonda acknowledged that she had participated in
sexual threesomes, at the encouragement of her first husband, French
film director Roger Vadim. She said she consented because she feared he
would leave her. "I felt that if I said no, that he would leave me and
I couldn't imagine myself without him," she said.
That article didn't say anything about her apoligizing for any of the
major stuff she did. Also, those apoligies weren't heartfelt, you
know as much as I do. Someone had a book coming up and it was
time to boost sales.

Shes being over-villified i think. There are people that have done far worse. Like, Geraldo Rivera showing troop placements on live TV over in Afganistan.. The "Hanoi Jane" thing should just blow over already.
