Now, everyone has either has replaced the ratchet or will replace it. It seems to me the problem lies with the soft material that the ratchet is made of. I am aware that they need this little bit of give so the cyclone doesn't turn into a blender, but getting 8000-10000 rds out before you need to replace isn't a good life span. So, I wonder if anyone has tried to put a small metal shim on the ratchet where the cog hits it?!? In my head, this would allow for the flex that is needed, but would give the ratchet more longevity. It wouldn't be that hard to do, I will probably do it here in the next couple of days to try it out. Just wonderin' if anybody has went down this path before.

Sorry, the ratchet is the part that keeps the cyclone in "time" so to speak. It stops the cyclone on each cycle so you don't smash the balls in the feeder.  The ratchet itself sits underneath the cyclone.  You get to it by removing the bottom plate off the cyclone.  To see if the ratchet is your problem, you have to take the ratchet completely off and look at the topside of it where the cog wheel hits.  This is where it tears.  Expect it to happen after you have shot around 10,000 balls or so...only about 5 cases worth.  If your marker shoots, but doesn't advance a ball, but you can manually advance it, most likely you have a torn ratchet.  That is if you are not low on air.

that's probably just a few of them, people at my field have gone through well over 5 cases of paint and are still shooting fine.
