Well today I went to play at my local field and in my first game i found out that i didn't have my ball detent in so it was loading like 3 at a time. I was wandering what i could use as a ball detent? because I think that I have lost mine. any advice helps. thanks

You could use a new ball detent as a detent.

I asked the techs at the field and they said that they didn't have any so i was wandering what else i could use. I'm going to try calling my local shop tomorrow. I have a 98c if that helps any.

Tear your room apart first, make sure you just didnt drop it somewhere.

Then call up Tippmann, and see if they will send you one.

Yeah.... Just copy the picture above for a good homemade one....

First look around everywhere for it, Iv done the exact same thing you did. Lost it, was about to order a new one, found it on the floor. If you dont find it call up Tippmann, if your under warrenty its free. If not, very cheap. Proshops should have them too.

ANY shop that has an Airsmith will have Tippmann detents. Buy several and put them in your repair kit with your "O" rings, oil, and Allen wrenches. You do carry a repair kit don't you?

I find that surprising. Many is the time when we have gone to the field and had something break. If we had not had a complete tool kit and spare parts, like detents, "o" rings and a little Teflon tape, we would have had to go home.

On several occasions we get approached by other players who have problems that have taken them out of the game. Five minutes with my tool/repair kit and they are back in the game.

Our basic tool/repair kit: "O" rings for all parts that need them, ball detents, complete set of ball end type Allen wrenches, a screw driver with interchangeable tips, Both blue and red Loc-Tite, Teflon tape, two adjustable wrenches small and medium size, a pair of small Channel Lock pliers, a strap wrench, oil and lithium grease, two pair hopper latch springs (the front site spring). And if your marker has electrical parts, a roll of electrical tape. Spare batteries. Spare squeegees and barrel swabs (in-case you lose one in the field)...we also throw in one gravity feed hopper just-in-case.
