Im a proud owner of a A5 FlatLine, and I was cleaning the barrel I noted that the high area in the barrel that the ball gets most of it’s back spin is starting to wear! Is the inside coating of the FlatLine going to wear away to ware the barrel doesn’t work in the next 5 years or so? and I also noted it shoots extremely far no dout about it, it it’s accuracy isn’t all that great, can’t you buy and barrel extenders to advance accuracy?

The inside of the barrel is not "coated" with anything. The inside surface is bead blasted to provide the friction to impart the necessary back spin on the paintball. Scratches over time is normal. But, the barrel continue to function properly for 100,00 to 300,00 shots. Once its performance starts to degrade, Tippmann will refurbish it, making it perform good-as-new, for free.

To maintain good performance of the Flatline you should periodically clean it with hot soap and water. Even when you have no ball breaks the textured internal surface picks up residue from the outside shell of the ball. Gelatin and processing lubes from the paint eventually coats the barrel and reduces function. A sink filled with hot water and dish detergent and a scrub with a a tight fitting swab will keep the barrel in top working condition.

To get the best accuracy from your Flatline you absolutely have to use good quality small to small-medium diameter paint. PMI Marballizer and All Star work well, but are expensive. Even with inexpensive paint size is critcal for accuracy. Some notice what appears to be inaccuracy at long range, but what is usually happening is that longer trajectory alows more effect from air currents. I find my Flatline dead on accurate (as most other good barrels) to about 100 ft. Beyond that several factors begin to effect the flight of the ball.
