I just got done with Fahrenheit 451 and was about half was through the Splinter Cell book (which wasn't that great) when I started school. Now I'm stuck between text books and this little "Rise of the Universities" thing I have to read. I've got some books in mind when I get some time but college kinda stifles free time.

Do andriods dream of electric sheep is what blade runner is based off of. There are however some very big differences between the two. But if you liked blade runner then you'll love the book I did. To Ryan 1984 is an awesome read and once you finish it it compleately rocks hard. If you have the time I suggest you finish it.

Chrichton, actual spelling, is a very good writer. The andromeda strain is a great book along with eaters of the dead and that book he wrote when he was 19 A case of need was good too. I think that that's what I want to do, be a nurse and a writer.

Guy Mannering by Sir Walter Scott. I found a complete collection of leather bound books by Scott printed in 1890. All of them are very good.

So far I've read Ivanhoe, Rob Roy, The Black Dwarf, Quentin Durward, and Kennilworth.

Great Book.

Should be required reading for all students.

This is a centenary edition of the author’s masterpiece—a profound exploration of the human subconscious twinned with a terrifying portrayal of the dangers of imperialism. A work of immense significance, it has been hailed as the first novel of the 20th century.

In this searing tale, Seaman Marlow recounts his journey to the dark heart of the Belgian Congo in search of the elusive Mr. Kurtz. Far from civilization as he knows it, he comes to reassess not only his own values, but also those of nature and society. For in this heart of darkness, it is the fearsome face of human savagery that becomes most visible.

Bleh, I hated that book.

Crichton in my opinion is a very good auther.  His books may not be great on the whole drama thing but the science behind them is great.  I loved Prey.

To me, a movie could never be as good as the book. Something always has to be left out and you don't get to hear what the character is thinking. Plus, most of the time, the movie is usually altered from what the book is. For instance, the book Jurassic Park. They took a few points from the book and made an almost completely different movie. Anyone who has read the book will know what I'm talking about. They left out soo much and changed the rest. The book was awsome.

The book is usually always better like 99 percnet of the time. Another example is Stephen King's Tommyknockers. That movie was quite possible one of the worst movies I have ever seen. But I read the book before hand and I couldn't put it down.
